"Sunset Beach" Camper in Fairport on 435' of Lake Michigan shoreline

"Sunset Beach" Travel Trailer on 435’ of Lake Michigan shoreline next to the boat launch and marina at Fairport Fishery (Peterson Brothers Fishery).
This spectacular waterfront location is located in the scenic fishing village of Fairport, Michigan, roughly 5 miles South of Fayette State Park. The travel trailer is located on a vacant lakefront lot (right between our home and Fairport Fishery, which has a boat launch and fish processing facility). It is THE prime launch spot for King Salmon fishing. Fairport is the outdoor enthusiasts' paradise!
The space
This lakefront travel trailer comfortably sleeps 5-6 people and includes a full bath, a bedroom with queen size mattress, a pull out queen size bed in the living room, twin size bunk beds, and a table that folds down into a twin size bed. It is plugged in to an electrical outlet (no generators needed) and is plumbed to running water and septic. There is brand new flooring in the living area and the kitchen includes ample counter space, fridge with freezer, stove, oven, microwave, coffee pot, and anything you might need to make a meal. Heat, air conditioning, hot and cold water, and free wifi included. You only need to bring your groceries and clothes! The travel trailer is fully equipped and available to rent by the night (2 night min.), the week, the month, or the season (inquire within). Kayak use is included!

Other things to note
There are multiple islands to boat or kayak around. If you don’t have a boat, you can also fish from shore or from multiple docks. You can sit on the beach and watch the commercial fishing boats, bald eagles, swans, pelicans, geese, and a variety of ducks. The beach is somewhat rocky so water shoes are recommended. The Lake Michigan water is crystal clear and great for snorkeling or catching crayfish. Other wildlife commonly seen in Fairport include whitetail deer, rabbits, fox, and turkeys. Stargazing is popular here and you may even see the Northern Lights! Activities in Fairport include: fishing, biking, swimming, boating, kayaking, atv riding, and hiking. There are several parks within an hour’s drive, including the famous Kich-iti-kipi (Big Springs). Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, on Lake Superior in Munising, is 68 miles from Fairport. Local dining establishments include Sherry’s Port Bar (5 miles away in Fayette), Garden House Bar & Grill (15 miles away in Garden) and the Dock Bar & Grill (16 miles away in Garden). Also in Garden, there is a public golf course (Garden Golf), a gas station and grocery store (Mini Mart), and a coffee shop/pastry/sandwich (The Garden Grove). The Garden Farmer’s Market takes place on Saturdays from 9:00am-12:00pm. Fresh whitefish and smoked whitefish are available next door at Peterson Brother’s Fishery.

There is also a campfire pit, grill, and chairs.

Camper was clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay! Can’t beat the view!

Stayed the weekend for some salmon fishing out of Fairport. Great option that is more secluded than the camping options located by the marinas that can be crowded, and you don't have to bring a thing other than your food.

Had a great weekend stay at camper provided by the host in Fairport Michigan. Camper has been recently updated and all bedding appeared to be new. The camper also had all the utensils and kitchen supplies needed for a weekend or longer. Host also had provided some of the normal spices, coffee, paper towel, dish soap, etc that normally you may need to bring on your own. Outside had a grill, some camp chairs, and firepit. Highlight is the view of the islands and water 100ish feet outside the door of the stay. Tons of room for boat parking and plug within 50 feet of parking to charge overnight if in the area for salmon fishing like we were. Great option for the area and hosts are really friendly and accommodating.
