"Scilla is a lovely little town in a good location for some places that we needed to visit. La Lacondiera was quite nice for a B&B in a tiny town. We had a fine room with a sweet tiny balcony with a lovely view. They were very helpful with a few unexpected problems that had nothing to do with them! We may have been the only ones there in Nov. since they set the breakfast buffet only when we said we would be downstairs for it. There is no one there after dark and you use your own key for the front...

"We stayed here for a few days in October. Maybe 2 days is enough to see everything in this town. The collection of paintings confiscated from a local mafioso is well worth seeing. Shopping street is OK and we went to a nice vegetarian restaurant."

"Town House Cavour lived up to its promise. New and modern interior. Large bath and comfortable bed. Good a/c adequate for the space. Large armoire/closet with drawers, shelves and hanging space so we could fully unpack and stow away the empty suitcases. Steps from the piazza del duomo and the pedestrian street where there were shopping, bars and restaurants. Our host gave us good recommendations for restaurants to try and things to do. I highly recommend it."

"This is a grand old house, well-kept and beautiful on the Messina waterfront. It was really fun to stay here and we partied on the rooftop terrace until late, enjoying the night view and watching the ships come and go in the harbor. It’s a 15 minute walk to downtown shopping but there is a light rail train that stops right out front. There are some restaurants nearby. We loved the charm. "

"It is very noisy at night ( Friday ).The bar next door plays loud music with people drinking in the street until 2am.!!!! Finally they go home at about 3am. It is such a shame because everything else is so good. I can not recommend it for this reason."

"Stayed here for one night. Grounds are very pretty and hotel is based on the side of quite a steep hill so quite a lot of stairs and ramps. There are some lifts to parts of property but not all and they are in odd locations, for example one led to a pitch black banquet hall that you needed to pass through. "Each bedroom was unique and quite pleasing. The person at the desk, when we arrived was knowledgeable about good places to eat. Breakfast was adequate, but eggs, ham and cheese were not among the options. The woman in the breakfast room was so friendly."
