I was there for five nights, and I had a great time. It’s a simple place (no gym, i.e.), but it has friendly and efficient staff and well-maintained rooms. The only thing you may want to know is it doesn’t have AC: it didn’t bother me as I could open multiple windows wide and the weather was great throughout my stay. They also provide a fan. But if you can’t stand even mild heat, this is something to consider. (They do have a heater, which I didn’t use since the weather was, again, perfect.) They also have a simple breakfast buffet, which I didn’t buy in advance but ended up using everyday. It seemed expensive when I booked my stay, but I soon realized EVERYTHING is expensive in Switzerland, so… if you need lots of espresso-based coffee in the morning like me, it is worth considering.

Room was clean and staff were lovely

Very expensive hotel for what it offered. No towels. Only one large and one small for two people. Asked for more. Towels were very old, very ruff and thin. The woman kept explaining a boutique hotel. Trying to make excuses. Also, nothing to hang clothes on and zero drawers. Lives out of suitcase for four nights.

This hotel was definitely conveniently located to the train station but that’s about the best I can say for it. The rugs throughout are worn & faded. The floor boards creak and the wall paper in the room was peeling in multiple spots. The worst part was that our bathtub was missing the knob to turn on the shower head so I had to take a bath… with the faucet located in the middle of the tub it was next to impossible to rinse my hair. When I mentioned it the next day at checkout the staff member told me I should have called down and they may have been able to fix it but I did not have time to wait… we had dinner plans. Obviously, the cleaning staff would have realized it was broken. They made no offer to give a discount or refund for our stay. I would NEVER recommend this hotel.

This was the noisiest hotel we had for the 6 we had in Switzerland. Our room was on the back street which had dumpsters and trucks going thru early in the morning-I mean around 5 am. Staff was a little snippy, but answered questions.
