"Good experience to stay in traditional Japanese house.clean and kitchen well equipped. Washing machine was convenient. Due to it being an older building, insulation isn’t very good and gets very cold in the winter and need heaters in all rooms. Location is not great as it is walking distance to most places. Bus stop 7 minute walk. Could have provided more furniture such as chairs. Overall nice experience besides being on the cold side."

"This should be a nice place to stay. However it is an extremely noisy area during the night (despite being on a small side street). With a large amount of cars and motorbikes passing during the night it is not a good place to stay as the walls are extremely thin."

"Very nice traditional house. Very clean. The host is very friendly and accommodating. However this house is best suited for 4 people or less, not for 6 people nor people that has problem going up steep stairs as the two bedrooms are upstairs. Also, with only 1 shower it is not convenient for 6 people that wanted to shower. The other two people had to find another place to stay since it was super cramped."

"Once we were able to get the access code to this hotel, everything was great! It was clean and had the the toiletries you would need. It had the essential dishes you would need.and small kitchen appliances. The area around was walkable and quite. I would reccomend staying here and ill definitely be back if we find ourselves in this area again. It was perfect and accommodating."

"We wanted to stay in a traditional house that could sleep two couples and this was a great experience. I think if you had little familiarity with Japan and/or Kyoto, it would be a bit hard to find. The neighborhood was not hard to navigate, but it was a good ten minute walk to the busy part of shijo-dori. We arrived very late in the evening but had no trouble. Our first contact with the management was the next morning via the cell phone they make available. The management rep had very good...

"I loved the vibe this property had. Overall the home was very clean and tucked away in a pretty quiet area. AC units in every room were very handy, and I liked how the tub area was seperate from the toilets. The only complaints I have are minor gripes, not a big deal, but I'll mention them here. The toilet room is pretty small, although that is kind of the norm for Japan. My legs are pretty long so it was difficult sitting in there. There was a slight musty smell when we first got home each...
