"We are right across the street from a main train station and shopping mall in Kyoto. There are restaurants and independent general stores across the street so very convenient. The hotel is higher end and as such the staff aren’t as down to earth and friendly as in other hotels we’ve stayed. Very professional in a no nonsense way. The service has been excellent and the room cleaners go out of the way to make your stay pleasant. We booked additional nights as our travel schedule was fluid. Unfortunately we caught a very bad cold/flu which messed up half of our vacation. What can you do - I’D HIGHLY SUGGEST WEARING MASKS 😷 NEXT TIME AS THEIR TRAIN STATIONS AND TRAINS THEMSELVES ARE SUPER CROWDED. We should have known better! "

"Felt fancier than places that I have usually stayed. A bell hop for the luggage! A concierge! An amazingly comfortable mattress and sheets. Lovely tub and bathroom. Wonderful service. The train station is right outside so I was worried that it would be pretty noisy but it didn't feel that noisy when I took out my earplugs I could hear people talking outside & the train. But I was able to sleep fine. The $27 breakfast option seemed outrageous but they were plenty of shops right outside to get a more reasonably priced breakfast. The service by the conceirge was so lovely and fabulous! She was super super helpful and nice! All the staff were fabulous. I like that they have an eco Option where you don't have your towels changed every day unless you would like them to be. I also loved having a refrigerator in the room and tea coffee options in the room."

"absolutely gorgeous Japanese hotel. Onsen was amazing along with the massage chairs, free ice creams, free ramen and a great breakfast. So clean and friendly, we enjoyed our stay here."

"This property was amazing, from the staff assistance at check in until we departed. In previous review's some people spoke of the distance between the 2 towers like there was a huge highway between them lol, this is not the case. The markets are also at your doorstep. Will definitely stay here again."
