"We stayed for 3 nights in Oct 26. The location couldn't be better -- 1 block from the train and intercity bus station and right on the edge of the Latin Quarter -- great pubs and restaurants. The hotel restaurant is also very good. The bar is split into 4 rooms. They have live music every night. I highly recommend you check out the first bar you enter from the hotel check in area. Sit at the right side of the bar and watch the painting of "Sir Skeffington" on the wall to the right of the bar. Watch long enough (20-30 minutes) and you will be in for a surprise. One downside of the live music is that it's right under the guest rooms and our last night the music was dance music with a lot of bass and drums, from 11 pm to 2 am. I always carry earplugs in my travel bag. If you don't I think the front desk can provide some."

"Very clean room and timely room service. Front staff were helpful in discounting parking which is directly behind the hotel. Bathroom door is frosted glass so if the bathroom light is on, the whole room gets lit up. Finishings were modern and sleek compared to many other hotels in the area."

"Lovely old building with Latin Quarter literally on the doorstep. We had some reservations about noise and room size, having checked the usual review sites. But our room (overlooking Cross Street) had secondary glazing so the complimentary earplugs were not needed. The room was compact, but absolutely fine (my husband is 6'3" and he had no complaints), and was equipped with everything needed. It was thoughtfully laid out, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and attractively decorated. The hosts were friendly and helpful and the continental breakfast buffet was varied and more than sufficient to fuel us up for the day. There was a dear little book on each breakfast table, with a history of the building, which was a lovely touch. A few more plug sockets would be useful, but I guess our medieval ancestors didn't have so many devices to charge :) Would not hesitate to stay again."
