Indulge in all-new digs at this gorgeous Galveston escape! Just an easy walk from the beach this brand-new home comes fully furnished for family comfort. Playful pops of purple adorn the exterior of the home while vibrant coastal colors and decor fill the interior, setting the carefree mood for your stay. While the home sits on the quieter end of the island, just on the other side of Galveston Island State Park from Jamaica Beach, you'll never be more than a short drive from great local dining options and attractions. The Galveston Fishing Pier is just over six miles away and the Historic Pleasure Pier is only 11 miles away.

Constructed in 2023, the home is a model of modern design and comfort. The open-concept kitchen, living, and dining area makes it easy to share quality time with friends or family. Stainless steel kitchen appliances are ready and equipped to handle home cooking. Coffee and cocktails can be enjoyed out on the deck while casual downtime can be spent streaming shows and movies on the living room smart TV.

Great property at Pirates Beach

We spent 4 nights at the Purple Pelican for Easter break and everything was as described. Property was impeccable, 5' minutes walk to the beach. Great accommodation for families.

Not as Advertised

Very nice home. No local TV only streaming therefor no sporting events. After inquiring was told most Rentals do not have cable. I have rented several homes in Galveston and all had cable or satellite. No BBQ pit and very little kitchen equipment. Had to buy large cook skillet for family breakfasts. Said had washing machine but in description said it was private and breaker was off. We left a day early.

The Purple Pelican is decorated nicely and within walking distance to the ocean. The kitchen is NOT well appointed. We were disappointed in the lack of coffee mugs (only 4 mugs and there were 6 coffee drinkers in our party), limited utensils, no small appliances (blender, mixer), no wine opener (or wine glasses). In addition, there wasn’t an iron or ironing board for our wrinkled clothes. The house was clean however there was an acrylic stain at the entrance that was an eyesore and the windows needed to be cleaned (it drove my husband crazy so he cleaned the front windows) and we weren’t able to grill outdoors because the grill was greasy and disgusting. The neighborhood is in the quiet section of Galveston however there were 7 roosters/chickens freely rooming the area. Overall, I would recommend this home for a short stay, especially if you’re not wanting to cook meals.

Beautiful home

The furnishings and decor are beautiful. I liked that there were dirty laundry baskets in every room. This is good for a large family staying several nights. The bunk room is amazing. The kids loved it.
