Stayed here the day/night before our cruise. Beautifully restored home. Walkable to the Strand area for shopping, dining, etc. Great breakfast. Provided secure parking and transportation to and from the cruise port.

Owners and staff were very accommodating. Ensured we had everything to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding! The area is walkable and the historic neighborhood was nice to explore, including The Strand. My husband and I stayed for two nights before our cruise on Royal Caribbean. We are thankful for our stay at The George Manor and will be referring this stay to our family and friends!

The George Manor is a beautiful 1851 historic home that is well-maintained. The staff are awesome…and the food is professionally prepared and delicious! We enjoyed touring this home and learning its history. It is in an excellent location that is central to most all that Galveston has to offer. It was our first visit to Galveston, and we loved our stay,😊. We highly recommend The George Manor to others….you won’t be disappointed! Positive: I loved the history of the property. The suite that we stayed in was very spacious for the 2 of us and it was nice to have a full kitchen even though we didn’t cook on it. The ice maker was nice to have but we realized we should have turned it off at night because it was noisy throughout the night. The bed was comfortable. The full English breakfast was outstanding. The staff were pleasant. Negative: the shower had very low pressure and the water temperature was hard to control, either really hot or really cold. The sink water faucet’s hot/cold water was backwards. The walls and ceiling were touched up with mismatched paint and made the room look sloppy. We could not get the tv (Roku) to work. The courtyard looked like someone went to a lot of trouble in the past to make it beautiful but no one has weeded it this year so it looked very neglected.

Great place with lots of history. Mansion was built in the 1800s and was recently restored. We stayed in one of the newer apartments built in the 1950s, very roomy one bedroom with a modern bathroom and kitchenette.

The staff were so attentive and provided wonderful customer service. We stayed here during our honeymoon trip and they gave us chocolate covered strawberries and a rose at our breakfast table. The breakfast was included and was delicious. Thank you!

We could not turn tv off so slept with the screen light which is bother me, our friends in the other room had an issue with heater sounds loud , the service, breakfast and hospitality are amazing.
