At checkout, I inquired about a possible conference participant discount—not because I assumed I was eligible, but simply to ask. The manager responded with visible frustration, rolling her eyes and adopting a condescending tone. The interaction felt unnecessarily unpleasant, and I chose not to pursue the matter further, completing my checkout promptly after her response."
