"Lovely property full of character, but what sets it apart is the beautiful location on the edge of the National Trust estate. Such a lovely setting. Communication with the owner was excellent, and it was very reasonably priced compared to other options we looked at. Highly recommend!"

"Three close friends stayed in 2 Bishop Mews while being in a choir "in residence" at Wells Cathedral for a week in July 2024. The place was perfect - great location in central Wells, walkable to everywhere we needed to be. Clean and spacious, with the everything we needed. There is a washer for clothes but not a dryer. You will love this place!"

"We had a lovely few days in this property. It is well appointed and looks very pretty. The facilities are very good and the area is very quiet. It is opposite a church so the bells can be very loud but they don't ring very often. The property is located on a very narrow street so you may find parking difficult but apart from that it's excellent and we definitely would stay again."

I cant understand some of the reviews that claim some of the furniture is a bit worn.... the house has charm and has the sense of travelling around the world (which Stanley has) without ever leaving and feeling extremely helpful. "The cottage was dirty, the kitchen smelt of grease and all the pots where dirty. It smelt very fusty like it had been left unused for a long time. Beds where very uncomfortable, my wife described it as the worst nights sleep she has ever had. None of my kids could sleep either. Left after the first night and had to spend more money to stay somewhere. When I mentioned all this to the host they completely ignored me and stopped responding to my messages."

"The property was in a lovely quiet location, beautifully maintained and very comfortable. Great communication with owners Matt & Abby and very welcoming when we arrived. Location was perfect for exploring Somerset, we visited several National Trust places and the north coast neat Dunster. Lovely weekend away, would definitely stay again and highly recommend."

"Really great place to stay for large group get together, we had 6 adults and 4 kids staying at one point and it didn’t feel crowded at all! The place was really clean and the grounds and amenities were really excellent. We met one of the hosts and he was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to everyone to go for. A stay ! Lovely and quiet and a great base for day trips to cheddar, wells and only an hour or so the coast and Bristol."
