Nice, quiet, and cozy place to stay. Comfy beds and clean rooms. Ample continental breakfast and good restaurants within walking distance. It’s an old house but is well kept and everything is in decent shape. Guests must carry luggage up one or two flights of stairs. Good value overall.

Private house with rooms. there is a kitchen that can be used. Reasonable price, local station is about 10 mis walk, Metro about 20 min drive. Plenty of places to eat within 15 mins walk. Would use again

Inn on Fox Meadow is an old Victorian house with several individual guest rooms upstairs, and a kitchen and living room downstairs. The mattress was modern and comfy, the rest of the furniture is antique and charming. The kitchen has fresh fruit, milk, bread, and other supplies to make your own breakfast. I had a delightful one-night stay.

This is a 1896 home complete with furnishings appropriate to the time only a few blocks off 355 in lovely neighborhood. Everything worked, bed was comfortable, room was large even spacious. Bathroom was cramped, but adequate. Breakfast was continental traditional, but with cereal milk, good bread and yogurt, one can consume sufficient protein for the morning activities. We will no doubt return on our next trip to DC.

Much more self-service than expected. Nice older building in a lovely residential area. We’re pretty low-maintenance, but the room wasn’t as clean as it could/should be, and the owners expressed that some needed repairs were known but still weren’t addressed until midway through the stay. We believe the turnaround time from prior guests must have not been enough to address them. Overall, there is potential in the place, just wasn’t as we expected.

DECENT

It was a better-than-average experience but the place could use some updating. The bathtub/shower experience was complicated due to old plumbing, and the floors were creaky. Due to close proximity to other rooms, guest movement was loud. The local commuter train was VERY loud (late at night and early in the morning), so my sleep quality was very poor. The ambience was very good, though, and when I asked for a space heater, it was made available (there are no thermostat controls anywhere in the unit). There was a public kitchen area with exclusive “Adam and Eve” beverages and a self-serve option for water or continental food (cereal, bread). The loft was occupied by the carekeeper.

Extremely Disappointed – Misleading Listing and No Accountability I booked a full week at The Inn at Fox Meadow through Expedia, but never stayed a single night due to the condition of the property. After arriving late at night from an international flight, I found trash in the stairwell, an open room nearby with clothes all over the floor, and my assigned room — located in a hot, dirty attic — was nothing like what was shown online. I called the manager immediately and left a message, but received no response. I had to leave and book a nearby DoubleTree just to have a clean, safe place to sleep. Expedia contacted the manager on my behalf for a refund, but he refused. He later called me personally, was rude, and insisted he wouldn’t refund me “a dime.” I’m 76 years old and was not informed the room would require climbing three flights of stairs, which was not clearly disclosed on the site. I now understand why they don’t have a front desk or allow people to view rooms beforehand. This experience was stressful, costly, and completely unfair. Expedia should reconsider listing properties that treat guests this way. I would never recommend this place.
