"The pictures of the pool are a selling point. However we were unable to access the pool. We were told the 2nd night of our stay we’d be able to enjoy swimming. But we’re told at last minute we could not. Check earlier in the month review. Same thing happened. So in my opinion the photos should be taken down. Be also aware of the kitchenette. "Great place, near a few hikes and the trails inside Big Canoe are phenomenal as well. We even had a little snow! I wish the wellness center wasn’t $20/day so I could have used it daily. But that’s not the rentals, it’s big canoe pricing. "

"This trip was last-minute to see our new granddaughter, with a day-earlier emergency. After some miscommunication with the owner (Father's Day weekend), which did get resolved, we enjoyed what little time we spent there. We spent the majority of our time at our son's house. The property was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The furnishings looked brand new and well taken care of. We visit about every 6 weeks or so, and will gladly stay again. We'd much rather stay here than any hotel."

"Everything from the owners greeting at check in to the walk through, it was an unique and pleasant experience. The apartment looks out unto a lovely hardwood forest, with hemlock, rhododendron, wintergreen, ferns and beech trees. There is a short walk to a tadpole resident brook, that is a joy to experience. Spacious well equipped kitchen and great room area. Wonderful experience, highly recommend this rental."

"This is a great location on the lake because it's not on the main thoroughfare. Businesses and restaurants are not far away. The house is very clean and has the kitchen dishes and cookware you would need. Part of the walk to the lake is quite steep, but it is well maintained. Just be aware. The houses nearby were quiet making it a peaceful getaway. We had a great visit!"
