"Comfortable bed!! Quiet place. Able to darken room fully! Old-school tub with real tile. Cute metal tea/coffee pot. Polite staff. What more can you ask from a 2-star hotel? They even have laundry facilities available. Halls and room a little musty, but running the a/c cleared the smell. Pool appeared a bit on the murky side, despite a chlorine-tablet floatie bobbing around. We did not attend the complimentary breakfast, but there was a waffle maker, yogurt, juice, etc. available. I liked the split staircase with wooden banister leading to the second floor. NOTE: Be sure to request a room on the first floor if you don't climb stairs; there is no elevator."

"Overall I give our stay a 9.5 out of 10. I would have given it a 10 but the only very slight negative about our whole stay was it was very confusing finding the property. You cannot see the lighthouse from the main road. You can't see the water from the road either. There is a private dirt drive path through a wooded area near a campground with other people's homes you have to pass before you can see the water & lighthouse. I would recommend informing guests of this. I got turned around a couple times because I didn't want to drive down someone's driveway. My cell (Verizon) also didn't have service in this wooded area so I couldnt look up number to call. After we found the property and arrived at the Lighthouse everything was great. The lighhouse is very nice. Beautiful scenery. Lots of wildlife. Saw a couple Bald Eagles. The dead trees to the North is where I saw the Eagles. My wife loved the swing under the Willow Tree. There is a bonfire pit on site by the water. We loved that. The place was clean. Smelled nice. The bedoom was clean. Great views of the water. There is balcony that overlooks the water. There is a dock you can fish off of. Kayaks also. Overall we absolutely loved the place. Love the atmosphere. Private. Clean. Wildlife. Great Scenery! We definitely plan to stay again! "

"Cottage was clean, cozy and exactly what our family was looking for. Quiet area, easy access to the beach and minutes from shopping, dining and activities. Our family enjoyed the fire pit, hammock and large yard. Our host was very attentive and ensured we had an enjoyable experience. Overall, we had a wonderful time at the Easy Street Retreat and would absolutely book again! "

"Clean, comfortable, spacious cottage especially the second floor bedroom; well appointed with nice kitchen/refrigerator and all needed kitchen ware, wifi, efficient air conditioning units, beautiful lakefront, bed linens and towels fresh and clean, washer and dryer available on property, close to Port Austin, and Caseville, restaurants and putt put course. "

"My granddaughters and I had a wonderful stay. This property was exactly what we had envisioned: clean, up-to-date furnishings, very comfortable sleeping arrangements, great bathroom, many amenities that made our stay more enjoyable, close to the beach (which is wonderful), close to downtown and easy access to a grocery stay. We loved this property!!"

"My 18 year old daughter suddenly became available for a last minute family trip so I scrambled to find someplace that would accommodate myself, 13-year old son, my daughter and her boyfriend as well. I was lucky enough to find Harper’s Hangout! It was only 2-1/2 hour drive for us, offered enough privacy for everyone, AND we could bring our dog!When we arrived, it was super clean, the A/C was at a perfect temp, and it was as welcoming as can be! It is decorated very tastefully. I came prepared with paper products; however, none were needed as the home is extremely well stocked with what is needed for your stay.The extra 1/2 bath is a big bonus for a family stay, as is the washer/dryer and access to beach towels.While there aren’t a tremendous amount of shops in town, we definitely found enough to do in our 5-day stay. The beach was gorgeous, people were friendly everywhere we went, and we even found a dog park! We went horseback riding, played mini-golf, shopped, explored Port Austin, hiked, and ate alot of ice cream! The supermarket and Dollar General are both 5 minutes from the home and have pretty much everything you would need for cooking or any items you may have forgotten. I would definitely recommend Harper’s Hangout and would go back in the future!"
