"Hotel was beautiful and the breakfast was outstanding so was the view of the city. We enjoyed the spa area and pool bar. Pool water was a little chilly but otherwise lovely. Would recommend this hotel"

"A fantastic hotel which managed to balance chic modernity with tradition and comfort, both in communal areas and in the spacious and comfortable rooms. A great selection of bars and restaurants though the buffet alone was more than adequate - delicious food with great variety, and I was pleased to see vegan and gluten free options. Excellent service. Good entertainment but it wasn’t “in your face”, you had to go to the right place rather than be forced to endure anything you didn’t want to. Having tried two other 5 star and two other 4 star hotels in Madeira, we can confidently say this was the best. Overall excellent and only the most minor of suggestions for improvements - soft close toilet lids and a map of the building for guests!"
