Romantic House on the Lake-Hot Tub Pet Friendly-kayaks-Fishing Boat. Sleeps 8

  • Very quiet and scenic 1500 square foot 3 bedroom cottage with hot tub just 5 minutes from Angola and 35 minutes from Ft. Wayne. You'll have the entire furnished cottage to yourselves! No need to bring anything except food. Take advantage of the free use of 2 kayaks and a fishing boat complete with life preservers. There are two charcoal grills for your convenience. Explore Long Lake and maybe throw out one of the several fishing poles that are provided! In the evening sit back and take in the stars around the campfire or enjoy our 300 sq ft deck. We are on Long Lake in Pleasant Lake.

Host was very good at communicating. Hot tub needed some attention, as at first there were no jets and by end of stay water was not warm. It was great being able to take my pup. She enjoyed the stay as well. There were a couple issues I messaged with the host about, but overall it was anlively place for rest, relaxation and getting away from it all.

Fall Break Vacation

Great location, good fishing. The owners thought of lots of little details like having ingredients for smores ready to go, coffee, and popcorn. Our sons loved the paddle boat the most. Great value.

What a great getaway. Right on the water, plenty of room, lots of water “toys” (boats/kayaks). Owner was great to work with and provided more than the basics. Even had some dog treats and beds. Well worth the price!

Great Property

This was a great place to stay! Beautiful sunsets, quite setting, access to water toys was great to get out on the lake. My son caught a bunch of crappie. It is remote however your very close to town. I would recommend it as place to stay. Had everything you would need.

Family weekend

Family converged from 3 different directions to spend a weekend of re-connecting here! So many different things to do together. Kayaking, pedal-boating, bonfires, yard games, etc! Everyone of all ages loved our time there! Hosts were extremely responsive to all questions before we came and while we were there!

Great place

We loved the outdoor amenities. The house was big enough for all of us to be together but not on top of one another. It was so nice to go to a house that had all the necessities already there for cooking. The great location was close but not too close to Angola. We took advantage of the beautiful roads for motorcycle riding. We hope to return again.

Great Hidden Gem on Quiet Lake

We loved chasing the shade all weekend long in the huge lakefront back yard. The space fit the 5 of us comfortably and we mostly grilled so did not us the kitchen very extensively. Nothing fancy but clean with very comfortable furniture and ample space for our crew. The neighborhood was very quiet as was the lake. We all loved our stay!

**Girl's Weekend - SUCCESS!!**

Robin and Charley were wonderful to work with and we were able to easily access the property. It is a cozy little lake cabin that feels like family. There is so much more room than it looks like in the pictures!! And the treats that were left for us was even more of a bonus! We slept like babies and awake to a cool crisp morning with coffee on the deck. It was a terrific time and we may have to plan another girls weekend here!

Quaint and Cute

Charlie was the perfect Host, available whenever we needed him to answer a question. The house was perfect for my best friend and I. Beds were comfy, and he provided s’more ingredients and popcorn. The area was very quiet. Plenty of nature to observe. Would totally recommend

Women’s Weekend Getaway

The house on the lake was the perfect place for four friends to spend a weekend getaway. Everything was easy- location, getting to, and checking in and out. The Hansons are great hosts and were easy to message with and answered any questions we had about our stay. While the weather did not cooperate we still had a wonderful time hiking and photographing nature at the nearby Wing Haven Preserve and dining out in Angola. Everything was clean and perfect, lots of great space, and being dog-friendly was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back! -Michelle & Company

Lake Stay

This house has a beautiful view of the lake with use of a paddle boat, fishing boat and kayaks. There are plenty of games available for indoors and a cornhole game for outdoors. There is a laundry room too. Kitchen has plenty of dishes and silverware. Things that are not available are salt, hair blow dryer, shampoo and conditioner in one of the bathrooms and tissues.

RELAX by the Lake

The owner, Charlie and Robin, thought of everything to help you relax. Very comfortable lakeside home with awesome views. Quiet neighborhood. Roku TV’s in living room and master bedroom. If you enjoy fishing you are in for a treat. I caught a lot of huge bluegill, a few perch, and a couple of largemouth by accident as I was focused on bluegill. Communication with the owner was excellent as we stay in VRBO ‘s a lot and Charlie would respond in less than ten minutes each time. We wish we could have stayed longer. You have a full kitchen but IF you don’t want to cook you have several restaurant choices in Angola about 10 minutes away. We highly recommend this property! Jim and Jill

Nice Enough

The place was nice enough. It may have been great for a family that wanted to be outdoors and enjoy the lake. I was on my own for a spiritual retreat, along with my dog. At night the curtains didn't fully close, there were no deadbolts on the exterior doors and no security light in the parking area. When my dog started growling and not settling, I decided to leave at 2:00 a.m. I had booked two nights and left all of the money behind when I decided to leave. No small thing. So, I'd say, not a good place for my purpose.
