"Very quiet location as close to Miho no Matsubara as you can get in a place to stay. Owner of the place, Mrs. Endo, was extremely pleasant and motherly. Accommodations were excellent with Japanese meals for breakfast. Need to take a taxi to get to any other touristy spots and to Shizuoka Shinkansen station (about 40 mins). The beach and the pine tree forest are right there. Very quiet and relaxing. I would stay there again in the future. "

Post-hike, we moved from Tokyo to Osaka with a stop at the Ryokan in Shimada. Two families (eight of us) stayed at Kappo Ryokan Uoichi and had a wonderful time.
