Perfect Kailua Vacation at Ka Hale Lai-House of Serenity-pool and spa.

"I rented this property for a big family group vacation and there were many things to love and a few to improve. We absolutely loved the property layout with the number of bedrooms, the separate primary bedroom suite, pool, hot tub, plumeria trees and quiet neighborhood. The property was obviously a former converted family home and it felt updated but still retro in a charming way. It’s a beautiful place with lots of room to hang out communally and relax. What needs improvement are the amenities and some details that should be addressed considering the cost of the place. Note that some of these things were eventually resolved after communication with the host and that was appreciated. However, other things are just fundamental features that I recommend the host invests in for future groups. The resolved items were a lack of sufficient toilet paper, paper towels & laundry pods for the week long stay. The unresolved items were the over flowing trash that wasn’t picked up as scheduled, old stained pillows (inside the covers) & old stained carpet in the living room, as well as a missing toilet paper dispenser in one bathroom. There also wasn’t a coffee grinder or many functional kitchen tools like a full set of measuring spoons, a working ice dispenser & decent chopping knives. One exterior kitchen door also doesn’t lock. I think the host could fix all these things with a minimal investment and for the price they owe it to renters."

"When we arrived, we were told our room wasn't ready... then it was... but we went inside and it had not been cleaned. We told the front desk, and waited in the beautiful lanai for about 30 minutes before our room was ready. Despite the initial screw-up, we were in pretty quickly and enjoyed free tea and water while relaxing on a couch... Everyone makes mistakes, it's how you react to them that counts, and Paradise Bay Resort did very well! Sunset, Sunrise, Kayak, repeat as necessary 😊"

"Beautiful B and B! The hostess was amazing! 10 minute walk to beautiful castle beach. We were provided with every beach essential you could imagine. The location is wonderful. 10 minute drive to near perfect lanikai beach. Lots of yummy food in downtown Kailua. Breakfast was assortments of fruits and yogurts that was included in our stay. Thank you so much Shannon.🤗"

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: From the moment I booked the house everything was smooth and so professional. Immediate answers to any doubt/request. Upon arrival the house was tidy and clean. We were a group of 11 (1chd 1toddler) and the accomodation was as expected according to explanation and photos we had seen. Fully equipoed kitchen! We enjoyed outdoors ver much. Sofa and big tv enabled all of us to have movie nights all together. Spacious parking for to the big suvs we have rented."

"Great location in Lanikai. Be sure to walk the loop and if that’s too easy then hike up to the Pill Boxes. You’ll get warmed up climbing the steps to the unit but the view and cool breeze are worth it. The beach is just a short walk away and I appreciate the outdoor shower to rinse off."

"The value is being near the beach without having to fight traffic. Parking was tight for larger vehicles, smaller vehicles could take advantage of provided carport. Quick access to H3 made it easy to reach Pearl Harbor area. Must try Island Snow within walking distance."
