This is a very comfortable sprawling historic hotel with absolutely top-notch and genuinely friendly service, especially at meal times. Excellent food and lots of space inside the room and in common areas. The view over the city is lovely. Visitors need to know that it’s a pretty quick trip to the town and surrounding areas, but by no means a short walk. That makes this Pousada feel like a welcome getaway."

"Beautiful property with breathtaking views at the west entrance to Duro valley . We stayed in the family suite with 2 full bathrooms and a small kitchen which was very convenient and large. Citrus trees on the property were blooming and the fresh scent was amazing. Fresh Breakfast was delivered to the unit. I highly recommend this place. "
