Within 6 blocks of Main Street, this charming 1920's Basse block cottage is a gem in a quiet residential neighborhood. Forget Me Not was purchased by new owners in 2014 and they have made amazing changes to an already wonderful home. The house has been professionally decorated and is not only perfect, but fun to see all of the great “finds” they used. Each time you go into a room something different will appear.

The Parisian inspired kitchen is a subtle taupe with pristine white trim. Fully equipped for your cooking needs, the kitchen offers convenience accompanied by inventive style. If you love to cook this will be a wonderful kitchen during your stay. A table for six is perfect for this room and the “perfect” antique chandelier hangs over it. An open hutch showcases an antique collection of plates. In the front of the house is an elegant spacious yet comfy living room with a great sofa and two floral chairs. All are placed to enjoy the large flat screen television with DVD player. There is also a small white loveseat in the corner which adds an area for visiting or just relaxing.

Two bedrooms are found in the front of the house and both have queen beds with private baths. The first bedroom has a queen bed with white coverlet and accents of black and gray. Enjoy the large antique curio cabinet with so many wonderful fun and interesting finds. An attached bath with soaking tub and overhead shower is found adjacent to the bedroom. The second bedroom has a bath across the hall and has a spacious tiled large shower. Both bedrooms have flat screen cable televisions. The bed has a white tufted cover with accents of sea green and orange. A double glass patio door leads out to the future patio.

The master bedroom in the back of the house has an exquisite king bed topped with earth colors of beige and green. The bed and a loveseat are placed to enjoy the flat screen television. This room is very private and comes complete with it's own private small living room and patio. The attached bathroom has a large tiled and glassed shower. The master bedroom has an individual heating/air conditioning unit. This is one room you won't want to leave!!

The house was beautiful and had everything you could possibly need. Each room having its own bathroom created that bit of welcomed privacy for each couple. The location is a little further from Main Street than we normally stay, but it was perfect. Absolutely quiet in the evening which made the beautiful outdoor area that much more enjoyable. We are looking forward to staying here again in the future.

I've never stayed in a vacation rental that was so thoughtfully equipped and comfortably furnished. It was worth our stay just to explore the owners' expertise in remodeling and decorating. We especially enjoyed the multiple outdoor, private spaces.

This is a well appointed home with everything you would need to thoroughly enjoy your stay here. We were very impressed with the small touches, such as a beautiful pastry provided for our breakfast. The host provided bottled water and nice coffee bar options. We highly recommend this home for your next visit to Fredericksburg.

I stayed for a long weekend with my daughter. The house was prettier than the pictures portrayed and was absolutely perfect for our weekend. We walked to town two mornings to get coffee at a lovely coffee shop called RockHause, which I highly recommend. This is the perfect house for a family get away, a romantic weekend, or a girls trip.

We stayed at Forget Me Not recently for a friends getaway. It was perfect for us.It had everything we needed. The decor is lovely. We loved the firepit. Sat on the quaint front porch and visited. I have stayed at many rentals and this is definitely among the top on my list.

This home was perfect and it felt like home the minute we stepped inside. The space is great for 3 couples with a bed and a full bathroom for each. The smallest touches made it stand out - from the German pastry upon arrival, to high quality bedding, and blankets for the fire pit. Don't hesitate booking this home. We will be back.

This house is so charming, exquisitely decorated, extremely inviting and comfortable. The grounds were just as beautifully decorated and were just as inviting to sit outside in many different areas to fit your mood. The hosts surely want you to have everything you need as we lacked for nothing. They even left us a welcome pastry from a local bakery. The beds in every room (as reported by occupants of each bedroom) were very comfortable. The linens were also high quality. We were there for Oktoberfest and it was an easy walk to the Market. No need to find parking for the festival. The six adults enjoyed the house and town so much we plan to return just to visit.

The house is very cute and quaint. Loved all the outside areas too. Location was very convenient. The house is showing it's age. The hallway bath door doesn't lock. The bedroom door doesn't close tight. The ceiling fan in the king room makes a clanging noise. The shower drain in the king room is very slow. Despite these issues, we would absolutely stay here again.

The house was so charming and big. There are 3 patios; one with a fire pit. We went on a girl's trip with 5 ladies. Three bedrooms and three baths was enough space for us. We walked to everything in town. The management company left us a delicious, large pastry for dessert/breakfast. The house has everything you need to be comfortable. The beds are very comfortable.

Incredible place! The attention to details, not just those adding to the atmosphere but practical ones as well, was astounding. The amount of thought and work put into it was awesome. Three bedrooms, each with their own bath and patio with tables, chairs, and privacy. In addition common den, porch, and fire pit with room for six. Still having a price roughly equivalent with much smaller rentals. Far and away the best value and most relaxing of the seven or eight places I have stayed at in Fredericksburg. We needed it too as it rained the whole time we were in town. Thankfully this place had everything. Great job.

We absolutely loved the house. Time is taken to decorate the house for the season as well as that home feeling. Not just a rental, you feel like you are at home. Each room has a story to tell. Everything is that you could possible need. The multiple patios give you a get-away of your own or are large enough for the group. Close to town but not so close that you have the traffic or event noises. This will be our place of choice every time we visit Fredricksburg. The service from Gastehaus was flawless. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and more than enjoyable
