"this was a disappointing stay. The room was not at all like the photo on the website - smaller and more basic. The breakfast was OK and the views nice but the service was neither welcoming nor hospitable. The main issue we had was with the WIFI - our booking indicated it was available in the room but when we arrived we were told by the Reception staff that there was only WIFI in the lobby and a few rooms above the lobby which according to the staff were more expensive. "2 of party were disabled. We asked for ground floor rooms. This was confirmed by email that we had them. On arrival we were put on first floor no lift causing great pain to the 2 of us. Ruined our little break "

"We stayed here with our 3 children (aged 9, 6 and 1) for one night on our way to our holiday in Italy. The hotel is attractive with high ceilings and wooden beams. Our room was excellent, with a double bed and bathroom downstairs and a mezzanine with 3 single beds and another bathroom. We also had a nice terrace overlooking the forest. "A great return stay to a hotel we have used before. It is family run and the chef (proprietor) serves great food."

"Very happy with our stay overall. Just one suggestion. In bedrooms where you have instead of king size beds single beds placed next to each other, they tend to move and a gap opens between them. Perhaps they can be locked together so they remain in place. Another very minor comment, the breakfast room needs to also have big spoons for those eating cereals. Perhaps they were there, but we couldn’t find one. Again, much enjoyed our stay, thank you to your staff, will certainly be back."

"Not at all as expected from the description. We had a room which was tiny for a twin, no fridge, cooking, table or tea/coffee facilities. Bathroom was semi-decaying but more spacious. Carpets looked 20 or more years old. When we arrived we were given linen and towels to make our own beds (unserviced) during stay. This is not a hotel! Also asked to empty the room bin and take any rubbish at all up to end of road to bins. Upside was that we did use a very old tatty communal kitchen area in...
