"We were less than a block from the beach. Although the room was small, it was painted light and felt airy and roomy. The only downside was the shower. It was tiny, which is manageable, but the rain shower head made it so there was no place in the shower you weren't getting wet. There was not a shelf for soap or anything and the door wouldn't close. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay."

"We stayed for a long weekend and had no problems or issues at all. The guest house provided parking vouchers for £15 for 24 hour parking on most of the local streets, we parked outside the property. The room was clean and plenty big enough for two, with lots of tea and coffee provided. Everything is within 5 to 10 minutes walking distance, the pier, town, bars and restaurants. Perfect!"

"The room was lovely, the staff called as soon as we checked in to see if we checked in okay which was nice. If you looked out the window to the right you could see the sea. It was in a very good location. Cafes, bars and more right down the road! Difficult with parking but managed to find a carpark two streets down for £20 for 24 hours. Overall it was a lovely place for a little getaway, me and my partner really enjoyed ourself! "

"Was upgraded for free which as a lovely touch ☺️ room for improvement: bathroom was very small and you can hear everything from the street outside, so take earplugs if you'd be woken by bin lorries etc or if you stay on the weekend. "My room at Motel Schmotel was great. The room was small and basic but had all amenities I needed. My lamp stopped working but I’m sure if I had reported it, it would’ve been replaced. "We had read the reviews for this place before arriving so we were a little apprehensive, but we needed two double beds so we gave it a go. I'm really glad we did. The room was perfect for us.
