"Lovely hotel, great and clean facilities and great breakfast. Staff are also incredibly lovely, and a nice touch to have small treats left in the room most days after servicing. A shame that the pool by the gym closed so early (5pm) and that despite not being busy at all (no one else was at the restaurant and it was off-peak timing), we weren't allowed to get a starter or snack at the beachside restaurant - we were told it was a 'gourmet experience' and so only main meals were allowed."
"Amazing property. Peaceful and beautiful. The pool and pool area were very relaxing and have a good view of the sunset. The villas are oriented so each one is private. Living rooms don’t have AC but have good airflow. The breakfast is delicious with generous portions. The property is safe and secure and the owners are easy to find and contact. If you want a specific room then maybe contact them directly because I wasn’t sure which pictures went with which room/villa."
Luxury country villa with pool and sea and the offshore islands
10/10 Excellent
"We had the most wonderful time at Villa Siga Siga. It was the perfect place to spend our family holiday. A beautiful house, spotlessly clean with all the needed appliances/ very well equipped! It is perfectly located for a Peloponnese adventure. Lots of great towns surrounding it and incredible beaches! The aircon was hugely appreciated during the summer heat, and especially with young children. And an incredible pool, enjoyed by all- what more do you need!Thank you Judith and Derk for sharing your beautiful place and for making our trip so seamless. A big thank you also to Will, always on hand to help and support. We had the most amazing holiday and hope to be back soon!"
Villa Elia Luxury villa with private infinity swimming pool, terraces, valley and sea views
10/10 Excellent
"Aufenthalt: 16. - 29.05.2026, Zwei Personen.
"I spent nearly 40 years writing about travel, so I know a thing or two about hotels. Filanthi is a special place in every way. Yes, the sea is right outside and there’s a great restaurant below, but it’s far more than that. This building has been in the same family for many generations (see story in photo) and is now run by a young woman named Eugenia, who has done a flawless job of preserving the charm of her great-grandfather’s home while blending it with artistic, modern touches, for example, the way the beautiful bathroom tiles conjure hillsides of olive, citrus, and sage.
She has also introduced comfort elements not typical of Greek hotels. The bed was exceptionally comfortable—nothing like the traditional board-like fare—and the shower was the best I experienced in four weeks of traveling through the Peloponnese. Every detail is unique and thoughtfully chosen; she should be proud of the years of work that went into creating such a space.
There was a complimentary bottle of local wine in the room that I didn’t try, and though I never ordered one, my sea-view double came with a balcony cat who was charming and excellent company. My only suggestion: I hope she soon drops “The Project” from the name. In my experience, the hotel is already complete—elegant, well-finished, and deeply memorable."
