"Nauvoo was a mid point ti meet a family member and continue work on our family tree. The historical site was the main reason we chose Nauvoo. A little search on Vrbo, we found a historic home to stay in. What a treat! The rental was beyond the price point we usually seek but the home was the cherry on top of a wonderful visit. "We were only in town for a couple of nights and had a uniquely fun experience in Nauvoo. Beds were firm, but not uncomfortable. Kitchen was sparsely stocked with pans but doable for a meal for 6. We were warned about the lack of grocery stores in Nauvoo and planned accordingly. Overall we enjoyed the quirkiness of multiple additions to a charming old house."

"We had 33 or so family members meet at this location for Thanksgiving. Overall is was a great experience. The headliner is the view of the Mississippi. The property is up on a hill and provides a gorgeous view. Lisa was very responsive to all of our needs. Note that alcohol is not permitted at this location (on my phone that detail was slightly hidden in the rules section under “show more.” Thanks for a great property to reconnect with a large family!"

Our family enjoyed our time together playing games at the round dining table. Even had a nice picnic by the river. Home is in such a great location. Close to historic Nauvoo and close to grocery stores and restaurants in Keokuk. We would totally love to stay here again."

"The owner helped us by being flexible and accommodating. We got a day of reservation and there was a problem with the booking. He was quick to respond and fixed the issue right away. We were in town saying goodbye to a family member and the services got moved around several times. With a 2 and a 4 year old needing a nap and a place to hang, we were able to extend our check out for a small fee. Will stay again this summer!"

"My sister and I attended the British and Nauvoo pageants in Nauvoo, IL this week. Hamilton is about 20 min from Nauvoo. We were out and about quite a bit, but we found this lodging very comfortable. The host was very responsive!"

"I grew up in Carthage and occasionally return to see family. The house was quiet, comfortable and well-equipped. It is within walking distance to anything that you would need in the area as far as groceries, restaurants, etc. This will be our number one choice for future visits to the area."
