"Lovely chalet, very cozy off the highway, very quiet. Had a little trouble finding it, but once I saw the ox hotel and the spar supermarmarket went down driveway between them and turned right there they were. Lots of room to drive in and park by the chalets. There is a coffee shop and a pub down the road to eat and drink at. Was all I needed for 2 nights and a day to explore."

"The welcome was lovely our room was ready early so they managed to allow using early. Which was so appreciated . Donald the manager and the team cannot do enough for you. Kyle was excellent at the bar on our first two evenings and he sorted out our room TV in minutes, after I had managed to mess it up? The food is very good particularly in the evening,we had the fish and chips on our last night . The house keeping is excellent very helpful staff and the rooms were lovely. It's a lovely village a perfect location to enjoy Loch Ness and we will be back . Thank You"

"The Lovat at Loch Ness is a charming and stylish lakeside hotel. The property has two lovely lounges, even a grand piano, and is equipped with an elevator — a thoughtful touch. Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight: besides the classic Highland Breakfast, we tried the Kedgeree (smoked haddock with curried rice and poached egg), which was absolutely delicious and a wonderful Scottish surprise. The hotel’s location in Fort Augustus adds to the experience. The town itself is full of character, with the Caledonian Canal locks right at the center — watching the boats rise and fall is like a slow, graceful performance. We only stayed one night but wished we had stayed longer to enjoy the rhythm and atmosphere of this beautiful place."
