"The hotel is very clean and well-restored, and the staff were cordial. Norcia is a challenging visit right now, as the tragedy caused by the earthquake is everywhere you look. Not a lot of tourists around, if any, but since it's historically a bit of a tourist town, there's a bit of a weird balance - I had difficulty meeting people, and apart from the hotel and a sprinkling of restaurants, all of the businesses and homes are currently in a temporary village outside of the old town walls. "Our stay at the Barbacane was lovely. It's pretty close to Spoleto, though a somewhat winding road. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the bed is wonderfully comfortable. We had a very nice time there! "

"The road leading to the hotel is extremely narrow and dangerous it is filled with holes including a terrible one on there entry. The rooms have no ventilation and no windows other than the door. Marco at the front desk was very helpful. The cleaning staff needs training three days they did not remove a bag of trash. The restaurant is amazing the food was outstanding and excellent service. The pools and outdoor area is beautiful. "
