"Lovely, family-run hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. A locked garage to store our bikes overnight and a great restaurant with really excellent food and service. The hotel is centrally located in Neufchâtel and easy to find, just off the Voie Verte (Greenway) if you're cycling."

"I will give a balanced review because there was lots of great things about this property and some areas for improvement.The property is very large and spacious, both living areas and bedrooms and bathrooms. The grounds are extensive and a very appealing pool which is heated. The kitchen is well equipped and great for catering for large groups.The areas where there is room for improvement would be the annex house, the ground floor is unfinished , while upstairs has lovely bedrooms and bathroom the lower floor is still under construction, please be aware if traveling with children it may not be suitable. The other area is that some fixtures and furniture is past its best and in need of replacement. The outside table and chairs, wooden sunbeds and lounge sofas are rather worn. One of our party inadvertently sat on a bed and it broke the same with the sunbed, when we pointed this and a loose stair railing to the host we were met with some hostility. If you run a holiday let expect some accidents but if maintenance is neglected then they will perish. We overall had a great week and explored the local area. I think with some upgrades it could be amazing"

"Cycling London to Paris. This was our first stop. No bike storage, but chained to railings in full sight of 24hr reception. Hotel was very nice, and looking at staying here again. Food was delicious, including evening buffet. Staff were very helpful, including escorting us to see the chef to discuss vegetarian buffet options (and help with language barrier). Unfortunately, we did not have a long enough stay to enjoy the hotel's facilities (pool, spa, golf, grounds, etc), but would look at staying here again. "
