"When we first arrived the cottage had that old house/cottage musty smell so opened ALL the windows. Bedrooms were nice except I found a blanket in a wardrobe with, I think, dog hairs on it. We love dogs but maybe a notice to say they were for dogs and perhaps washed before next visitors, a small thing for us but maybe not for some others. "Forgan Cottage was a great place to stay for the four of us on our golf trip to St Andrews. Facilities were clean and well cared for. Location is excellent - if you want to walk you are within 15 minutes of just about everything of significance in St Andrews. While no onsite parking - there is ample free parking nearby. "This cottage is so nice you won't want to leave the house. The layout is perfect and incredibly functional, and the style is pristine and tasteful. There is a laminated guidebook with info about the appliances, temp control, amenities, nearby hikes. Everything was in stock, everything worked.
