Apple Orchard & Forest Retreat with Woodland Pond

Located on 100-acres in the lower Catskills with sweeping views of the surrounding forest and apple orchard. Woods road leads to small pond on property. House was rebuilt in 2009 with modern amenities.

First floor has kitchen, dining, living room, fireplace, master bedroom, laundry, and bath. SmartTV + DVD player. Upstairs are two bedrooms and a central reading room with a couch that opens into a twin bed. Full bath with tub.

HighSpeed Internet (200 Mbps), Cable TV, Cellphone via WiFi.

The house was built in 2009. Sweeping views of the surrounding fields and forests. The first floor open kitchen/dining/living area provides plenty of space to spread out. A wood burning fireplace adds to the country ambience. One bath and bedroom are also on the first floor. Hardwood floors and pine paneling used throughout. The second floor has two bedrooms, a bath and suny reading room. Solar panels power the geothermal heating and cooling system. Automatic backup power just in case. Outside fire pavilion.

Stay in touch with the world via High-Speed internet (200 Mbps) and cell phone connectivity via WiFi. Smart TV. Bring your access codes to stream Netflix, etc.

No smoking is allowed on the premises.

The entire house and half of the garage are available. You are welcome to explore the surrounding, apple orchards, fields and 100 acre woods. A woodland road leads to secluded White Horse Pond. Guests should NEVER go on the ice when the pond is frozen. Even if the ice looks solid it is rarely thick enough to support the weight of a person. There is no cell service at the pond so help could not be summoned.

During big game hunting season (October through mid-December) there may be hunters on the most remote 25 acres of our property. You still have access to all the property back to White Horse Pond which is 1/2 mile back in the woods. We ask you not to go beyond that during the hunting season.

The Forestburgh Playhouse is an 8 minute drive.
Neversink River Unique Area is a 5 - 10 minute drive.
Port Jervis, a 20 minute drive has restaurants and a brew pub.
The Bethel Woods concert venue is a 30 minute drive.
Resorts World Catskills, a new casino is a 25 minute drive.
The Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River is a 25 minute drive.

This is a rural setting surrounded by thousands of acres of forest. The property is somewhat out of the ordinary as the open fields that surround it allow for beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The area is sparsely settled. There are three other private residences on the road.

This is rural so a car is a must. Many people cycle for exercise on the local country roads.

There is an apartment with a full-time resident on one side of the house. Double walls separate the apartment from the main house. The garage is shared with the neighbor who lives in the next door apartment.
Please do not play with the neighbor`s dog unless given permission. Please leave wet or dirty shoes in the mud room as you enter from the garage.
No firearms or hunting.
