"We've stayed in many self catering cottages and had a very different experience in this one. On VRBO the gite is advertised as having a lake view, its no where near a lake! After we'd paid for the gite the owner contacted us for €300 cash deposit, and told us about additional electricity charges per day. There was no mention of this on VRBO, so the owner waived the charge. We arrived at 4pm on a Sunday and immediately had to find a supermarket as no basics/welcome pack was provided e.g bread,...

"Gîte parfaitement conçu pour une famille avec des personnes aux horaires de couchers et de levers très différents ! Mais on peut se rassembler facilement dans la cuisine ou pour manger dehors. L'accès libre à la piscine municipale est un vrai plus quand il fait trop chaud . Quand à l'environnement, il est magnifique et propice à l'observation des chevaux ou poneys du centre équestre. "Just wanted somewhere we could use as a base to explore local villages and Carcassonne. We immediately felt very welcome and comfortable. Danielle was a very helpful host when we needed anything yet we were left to enjoy the tranquility of the outside areas when we were relaxing.
