"We had a lovely room on the second floor. The air conditioning was efficient and very quiet- a real plus in the heatwave. We parked easily in the courtyard. The pool area is surrounded by walks and trees so there was plenty of shade as well as sun loungers. The receptionist was very helpful and explained everything thoroughly. We had a great breakfast as well. They had gluten free bread for me, which is not always the case in France. "

"Everything was as described. Directions to the property were very clear. Check-in was easy and the property manager who greeted us and the owner who arrived the second day of our stay were both very kind. Beds and furniture were very comfortable and provided linens were clean. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals and was clean on arrival. Spiderwebs were abundant throughout the house which is the only reason I can’t give 5 stars for cleanliness, however, this is as expected for a farmhouse and didn’t really bother us at all. We enjoyed our stay very much despite the rainy weather, which limited our ability to fully enjoy the garden. The location was very convenient to visit multiple beautiful chateaux in the region. Our children loved the two loft areas for sleeping and relaxing. We enjoyed seeing deer each evening we returned and even saw a sounder of boar run through the field at dusk one night. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again if I was in the area. "

"From the moment you arrive the service is impeccable. Our room was clean, spacious, charming and so peaceful with a serene view. We had breakfast and dinner each day and both were outstanding. Excellent location close to vineyards, Blois and Orleans. Bike or take a run on the beautiful grounds or take a peaceful walk through the Forrest. Perfect for dog lovers. Book early for the spa as it is so well done with a variety of excellent services. Don’t forget to save room in your suitcase for local wine, honey and Caudalie!"
