Charming chalet in the mountains

"La maison est spacieuse et agréable avec un bel espace de vue et une belle terrasse. La proximité de la route altère un peu l’intimité (beaucoup de gens passent à pied ou en vélo et il n’y a pas de haie qui protège du regard) mais, contrairement à nos inquiétudes premières, le bruit n’est pas gênant. Le gîte est vraiment adapté pour 6 personnes, pas 8 (le dernier couchage est un clic clac sur le palier). Les chambres sont grandes. L’ensemble est propre et bien pensé, idéalement situé pour se rendre au lac. Les commerces sont proches. L’équipement cependant est un peu vieillissant (ou premier prix) et mériterait d’être renouvelé : ustensiles de cuisine, pas de lumière dans une chambre, fuite dans les toilettes, douche qui déborde très vite. Bonne literie. L’entretien de la maison est assez facile. Heureusement d’ailleurs car les frais de ménage sont exorbitants."

"The staff was professional and friendly. They spoke enough English to answer basic questions. The bed was more comfortable than most places. The basic room was spacious for one person. The breakfast was wonderful! Sausage or bacon, eggs, crepes, croissants, deli meat, cheese, variety of jams and nutella, yogurt and cappuccino machine for EUR 13.50 each day. Well worth the price and my favorite thing about the hotel. My only concern is the AC kept turning off on it's own, even in the middle of the night. Otherwise, a solid hotel."

"We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Le Lac. The hotel was nice enough, and the staff were welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, and the dining room was particularly impressive — very elegant and beautifully presented. Overall, it was a nice hotel with a great breakfast, although the room décor felt a little tired and would benefit from an update. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning, which wasn’t ideal during the heatwave we experienced."

"Agréablement surpris par rapport aux photos, le logement fait plus petit sur les photos. Nous avons pu profiter d un extérieur calme et grand. De nombreuses randonnées à faire, un dépaysement complet avec de superbes paysages. Super contents de notre séjour à Cerniébaud."

"Chalet correspondant au descriptif, très bien équipé et très bien placé. Environnement très calme alors qu’il est situé à environ 300m du centre ville. L’hôte est joignable et très réactive. On a passé un super séjour."
