Experience the beauty of Folly Beach with ease and comfort at Palmetto, the ground-floor portion of a two-level duplex that sits only one block from the beach.

This home is a place for rest and rejuvenation, whether you're planning to spend your days surfing, boogie boarding, swimming, or enjoying the many shops, restaurants, and bars that line Center Street one mile west. As you come home from those daily excursions, you'll be greeted by a single-level living space with central air conditioning, free WiFi (that's suitable for working from home if you must), and an open and airy layout. There's a window-lined living room with a flatscreen TV, a high-top dining table for four, and a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including a dishwasher for stress-free clean-up).

Outside, you'll find both sunny and shaded patios, as well as a gas grill and a picnic table for post-beach barbecues in the afternoons. In the evenings, there are two serene bedrooms to choose from, as well as two full bathrooms to make your stay all the more comfortable.

This is the lower floor of a two-level duplex, with the upper floor, Folly's Hideaway B, available to rent as well. The entire five-bedroom home can be rented as Folly's Hideaway A + B.

It was just a short walk to the beautiful beach everyday and in a quieter area. We really enjoyed this quaint little place, and our first time being so close with the little one, it was perfect!

Came in turn to spend the a long weekend with our kids in Folly and Charleston. House was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Great location to the beach and not too far from town! Would definitely stay again!

The location was a block from the beach. Easy access and a mile to the restaurants which was walkable. Covered porch and grill are nice amenities. 2 bedrooms with two bathrooms was a great find. The furniture was cheap and uncomfortable. Mattresses were stained and need replaced. Many bugs fly into the unit constantly. They need to spray. All in all good place for the price but unit should be upgraded.

The house was as advertised. Clean and bright and cheery decor. House was a block away from the beach as noted. Folly Beach was quiet at this end of the beach with plenty of good restaurants to enjoy in the center of town. Would come back again!!

If you like that you'll love this place. Clean, well equipped kitchen, and nice little Dove soaps. Efficient cooling with the Mitsubishi wall units in each room. The block to the beach is great if you can climb stairs, which my 85 year old mother could not. Drove and found public access with level path.

There's almost nothing better than clean. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeting with a casual clean scent. Everything was bright and felt new, exactly as pictured. The laundry facility which is easily accessible is outdoors, so there's that. Otherwise, there is an intimate living space, and a small eating area with a clever dining table aside a large kitchen. Bedrooms are fairly large with very comfortable beds. I think it's corporate, so if you like that then expect everything to run like clockwork, from reservation confirmation, directions, check in and check-out. All in all, it was a lovely stay.

The location is great. The property is not as advertised. It smelled like smoke as soon as we opened the door. We reached out to the property manager call center twice and we’re told someone would get back to us. No one called. It also says you have access to a washer and dryer. You do not, or it’s in a looked closet outside. We spoke to the people renting upstate and they had one but it was outside on the back deck which does not have a stair case for the bottom unit to use. Plus that would have been awkward.

The pictures looked great from the advertisement. However, on the first day we noticed there were some issues. Window hardware not attached/pieces laying on sill in master bedroom. The sliding door lock was not operable. The door would not latch or lock. Someone had placed a makeshift bar in bottom trac as an attempt to secure. Exposed condensate piping from main room a/c. That unit leaked water onto the floor. Multiple noisy dehumidifiers throughout unit had to run nonstop to keep humidity to an tolerable level. The buckets needed changing every few hours. Condensation would form on interior windows. Multiple loose electrical outlets throughout. There appeared to be hurried repairs made to ceiling in master bedroom that was unfinished. It also looked like new flooring was laid in the bedroom. Construction(drywall/flooring) pieces were left outside the unit. There were several soft spots in the subflooring in the unit that would sag when walking. Especially in the master bedroom near the bathroom door. The laminate flooring started to curl up in this area. This posed a significant trip hazard. For the price of the unit, there should be NO electrical, safety, or trip hazards. Nor any structural problems. The place has potential but needs professional attention, and proper repairs made before I'd recommend it to anyone.

The condo was not exactly as pictured....a couple of key callouts: Cons: 1) There's no central air, even though the listing says thermostat. There were 2 giant, very loud mobile AC units in the living room. And they've clearly been there awhile as they were attached to the windows, which is not shown in any of the pictures. Floor fans were provided for each of the bedrooms. On a non-super hot weekend it was ok, but VERY loud and would get a bit humid after rain. 2) The washer/dryer is in an outside closet off the patio, not inside the unit. 3) If there are people staying in the upstairs unit, you will hear them walking around, etc. Pros: 1) The unit was clean, the master bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. 2) It's a 2 block walk to the beach so it's convenient.

Great location. Downtown in one direction Morris Lighthouse in the other direction. And , the beach across the street and one block. Folly’s Hideaway had everything for a comfortable stay. The beds were so comfortable and nice outdoor set up. I would definitely stay again.

Location was perfect for families. Away from the bustle of center street, but east walk to the beach. Recommend a golf cart to get around; lots of fun and parks near by. If you can get the top and bottom, would be perfect for larger, extended families. Clean, well stocked, comfortable.

We had a wonderful stay for our Spring Break! The house was the perfect size for our family of four and had just about everything we needed for the week! Washer and Dry was a major plus! (Took us a minute to find it— it’s outside the unit in a closet on the patio!) Beach access was one short block away which was perfect!. Beds were very comfortable and having 2 full bathrooms was great. Would highly recommend!

First off the location of this unit was great! Very close to a beach access point. It was very quaint and very clean. It was a little tight for 2 couples, probably best for a family. We all enjoyed our stay.
