"Likely one of the most wonderful stays we have ever experienced in the Greek islands. The premises are immaculately maintained, rooms beautifully set up and the views are hypnotizing. The lovely ladies who hosted us were always attentive. Breakfast around the pool area was plentiful and tasty. The main township is a short walk along a dedicated path. The island is peaceful and perfect for relaxing or hiking, and is home to some authentic family rum restaurants. There is plenty to explore, but always nice to come back to this beautifully appointed hotel for afternoon drinks and sunset views of the famous church on the southern peak. Do yourself a favor and stay here before it becomes too popular!!"

"Property was very clean and room was very spacious. We had the honeymoon suite and it contained 3 separate rooms (bedroom, living space, outdoor space w/hot tub). A small hotel with maybe a handful of rooms so it definitely feels quiet however, it is still very much convenient to reach the Port and Plaka by car. I would suggest renting a car as it is MORE convenient and cheaper than taking Ubers. "

"Everything about this hotel was perfection! From being picked up at the port to the welcome drink on arrival! The staff here were friendly, helpful and aimed to make your stay amazing! Breakfasts were included and a perfect way to start your day and a fantastic selection of delicious prepared choices. We didn’t get to use the spa on property as our stay was short. There were two choices of pools, a bar and a beach with water sports right below hotel. We booked stand up paddling one afternoon It was walking distance to more restaurants and a short taxi to town! Loved our stay here! Would love to return and stay longer!"

The complimentary breakfast was varied and plentiful. We also appreciated the complimentary transfer from the port to the hotel. I would stay there again without hesitation. "

"We absolutely loved our stay at Gundari. The hotel is beautiful, the suites are luxurious but not fussy, and views are incredible. The service and the people really make this hotel a special place. Nothing is too much trouble, and everyone has a natural friendliness, not in a typical 5* polished service way. The food and drinks were delicious, the prices are more than in the nearby village Chora, but it was very good food. The local Greek wines were very good too. The position of the hotel gives you the best sunset spot, and the sunsets in September were stunning. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. If you are considering it, just book it! "

"This is a lovely hotel in a great location. Maria on the front desk is delightful. Breakfast is great and fabulous views over the harbour. Hire car is easy and sleep well due to the quiet location. Stay here!"
