For those who need a perfectly silent, peaceful retreat .
Imagine if you could fully experience the atmosphere of the medieval Florence without giving up on any of the most modern comfort, in the very heart of the vibrant life of the alleys but in a cocoon of luxury and silence.
Hosted in a 14th century palace, the apartmrnt has been fully renovated, revealing the antique stone walls, and updated to the most modern and highest standard.
The spacious living with its sky high ceiling overlooks the antique facade of San Pier Maggiore and the little square in front of it.
Outside the front door is the Duomo, two blocks to the left, and to the right, a few steps away, are Sant'Ambrogio, Santa Croce, markets, cafes, and plenty of places for a glass of wine or great meal. The Sant' Ambrogio / San Croce area is a perfect location for visiting Florence.

Our family had a wonderful stay in this apartment in Florence. The location is perfect and just a couple blocks from the Duomo. Also this listing has been very well up-dated including a steam sauna in one of the restrooms, two outdoor terraces and both a clothes washer and dryer! Of note, with the fabulous location, some of the bar activity is heard at night. Claudio was very attentive, oriented us and also made a trip with extra keys. Great communication with Sandy during the stay. Very clean!

Great place to stay! Very unique space. The spiral staircase may not be for everyone to access the second bedroom. The main bedroom privacy screen is very awkward to use. A curtain may be a better idea.

We had an amazing stay at this location. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Perfect location in the heart of Florence. Family of 4 had plenty of room for privacy. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property with plenty of space for a family of 4. Location couldn’t be better, feel part of the action with the main room double windows open or enjoy total silence with the insulated windows and shutters closed. Separate twin bedroom for the kids, laundry facilities. Highly recommend!!

Lugar excelente, comunicação rápida e eficiente.

A localização é ótima, o apartamento muito bem decorado, a comunicação com o anfitrião muito rápida. Tinham muitos itens básicos que ajudaram bastante e achei acima da media, alem de nos receberem com um coisas para um cafe da manhã muito bem abastecido. A maquina de lavar roupas foi fundamental pois estavamos em pleno verão europeu. As escadas internas exigem atenção (escadas caracol). Um lugar muito charmoso com bons restaurantes por perto, ate uma feira de rua de frutas e verduras todas as manhãs ao ladinho do apartamento.

This place is definitely a “home away from home”, it is very spacious and it has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Very pleased and will definitely consider for another occasion. The only observation I would suggest is that you either fix or replace the key that opens the main door downstairs as it requires a lot of force to get it to open. Otherwise no other issues.

Unique, beautiful, and well-located

The apartment is wonderfully unique. I wish I knew the whole history of the building. We loved the artistic touches, the decor, and the tech in the apartment. The master bathroom shower was worth the stay alone! The unit was spacious, clean, and surrounded by good restaurants and sites to see. There were some stairs (to the unit, to both bedrooms, and to the laundry area), which was a bit of a groan after our climb up 414 Giotto's Bell Tower steps and other hiking. There was some street noise in the evenings from night life and beer keg deliveries in the morning; not a problem if we kept windows closed. Beds were comfortable, including the sofa bed. Communications were quick and helpful. We really appreciated the coffee/espresso maker and starter breakfast items provided! So thoughtful, as were many other details in the unit!

Perfect city stay

Our stay at Stone Walls was everything we hoped it would be. The apartment was very clean and just as the listing described. Other reviews mentioned the location could be loud as it is situated above a spirts bar, however we did not find this to be an issue as the windows closed tightly and reduced the street noise significantly. We enjoyed sitting in the living room window each morning with our coffee watching the city come to life. The terrace was enjoyable for early evening wine and snacks. The host was very responsive, accommodating and friendly with any questions or needs. The location had many restaurants and cafés to offer and we felt very safe. We would definitely return to this property the next time we visit Florence.

WiFi didn’t work. No doors or handrails at top of stairs. Master has two large stairs past any railing. We had to use chairs to make sure no one fell down stairs at night. Lights very difficult to locate. Management was difficult to work with when we tried to get WiFi fixed and asked about doors. They did leave breakfast items in fridge (which was nice). We would have preferred safety items be addressed. Not recommended for anyone over 50 or children!

Great location!

Loved sitting with windows open - listening to and watching the street below come alive! Provided everything we needed - umbrellas, recommendations, etc. Only reason for 4 stars is that it is an older building and harder to maneuver from one space to the next (bed, bathroom, laundry).

Great stay

Terrific apartment, wonderful location, very smooth process. Claudio was great too ! Just know, one bedroom has no door for privacy and the other requires you to walk up spiral staircase into upstairs…no worries for us…may be different for others. Rooms were great, entire apartment was wonderful!!

Great place!

Clean, high end place offering all amenities. Bathrooms were beautiful, spacious with great water pressure. Separate AC for each bedroom along with floor AC that worked really well. They even stocked us with bread, eggs, jam, cheese and coffee. Great location and felt very safe with my teen daughters.

This was a great place to stay. Walkable to everything. We loved sitting at night on the leather chairs, having a glass of wine, and people watching out the large door that looks over the cobblestone street below.

Beautiful apartment

Location is great becasue it’s central and it’s beautiful. Just as advertised. The only thing is that becasue it’s so central it was a little noisy into the late night. This isn’t the owners fault but more a by product of cultural differences someone may want to know. Wonderful stay.

Great Apartment in a wonderful location

We really enjoyed our stay and this beautiful apartment. Everything is very well maintained with two beautiful bathrooms that rival many 5-star hotels. The location is perfect as you are just far enough away from the tourist areas to avoid crowds but close enough to walk and see the sights. There are a number of great cafes and restaurants within a 2 min walk.

In the heart of town!

We booked this property for Christmas and were not disappointed with the quality and location of the property. Claudio was a great host with thorough communication prior and post arrival. Our train arrived prior to the check in time but since the property was completed being cleaned to their standards, he met us at the property right from the train station. He helped offload and carry our luggage to the flat (it is located on the second floor). He spent more than 30 minutes going over the details of the property as it was updated with modern amenities such as radiant heated flooring and a sauna. The location was perfect and being able to sit in the morning and evening with the windows open and people watch was a treat each day. There was a loaf of bread, eggs, jam, OJ, milk, coffee and prosecco already stocked by his company before our arrival. There was also plenty of soap in the kitchen and bathrooms. After we were checked in and throughout our stay Claudio continued to offer helpful suggestions for places to eat and shop. At one point he even went out of his way to drop off some additional kitchen trash bags so we could accommodate departing the property with our trash per the checkout requirements. One thing to note that is hard to tell from the listing is the property is multi-level requiring one to climb a spiral staircase for the loft and a small flight of stairs for the master and terrace with washer and dryer. Overall, this property was A+ and we highly recommend!
