Really enjoyed my stay at Balcony. Just about everything is a ten to fifteen minute walk from the hotel and there are plenty of dining and shopping options. The owners are very helpful and welcoming!

Lovely hotel and owners. Excellent location.

Lovely hotel. Its location is excellent, a 10-minute walk from the SMN train station. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a large bathroom. Danielle and her family are very kind and caring. They go out of their way to provide excellent service and make the best recommendations on tourist attractions and places to eat. They also looked after our bags before and after check-in. They speak Italian and English quite well. 100% recommended.

Can't ask for a better location! You can see the Duomo from the entrance, and is also very close to the main train station. Very lively area, no breakfast on site (I think), but there are so many eating options right nearby.

Perfect location and perfectly nice

This place is no frills for sure and the room is small. However, it was affordable and in a perfect location about halfway between the main train station and the Duomo. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was continental. Just what you need to get some fuel in the morning and get going.

Very pleasant stay, I would return

The staff/owners of this place are the finest and friendly people and I enjoyed my stay a lot thanks to them. The hotel felt homey and comfortable although of course has some areas of improvement, but overall I feel at home and I’d return. I had no problem with the wifi, my only inconvenient was that the actual balcony attracts mosquitoes, so I would advise to spray some repellent.

The woman at the front desk was very helpful to me despite our language difference.. The staff were very friendly. The shower had very nice water pressure. They cleaned the room perfectly everyday. We didn't eat there but the dining area was very cute . The location was perfect. Very reasonable price for the 6 nights we stayed. Perfect for the budget if you don't need anything fancy .. I would stay here again ..

A great place to spend the night while visiting Florence. It is 5-minute walk from the train station. It is within walking distance of most things in the Florence center. Clean, friendly, practical. I has a small room with a bed and the essentials. But what more did I need. I only spent the night sleeping. For that, is was quiet and comfortable—an excellent value for the price.

Great location, but mediocre stay, expensive for what it offers. The walls are thin, we could hear everything and everyone in the building and in the street. The beds are uncomfortable, they are hard and you can feel the springs. The breakfast wasn’t happening at the hotel, instead you had to cross the street and go to a coffee shop that would only offer one pastry, a dry sandwich or one small bowl of fruit (either/or). Not the breakfast you would expect when paying this price. Would recommend staying elsewhere for that money.

I will not pay my entire stay at this Hotel. The property is horrible. The bed was broken, my son suffered a back injury. No breakfast offered, charged as more than expected. the room was so tiny and the staff is not speaking English.
