"I stayed here one night when we were doing WWI battlefield tours. This was a wonderful find. So much world war one memorabilia. The rooms were simple but comfortable. Shared bathrooms were clean and quite private. The grounds and the home are just beautiful. Very much in keeping with the theme of our trip. Highly recommend it. "

"Clean, spacious, quiet, comfortable, beautifuly decorated rooms with great bed linens and bath products. The host, Kurt, is so gracious and helpful with tips on things to see and places to eat. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! We could not eat breakfast the second day because of our flight time and Kurt made us breakfast to go and left it in the fridge for us. Everything is so well designed and thoughtfully arranged. Truly a 5 star place to stay! "

"I was not expecting a code-style reception at "A Flemish Tale. To me, an in-person reception check-in is essential for a traveler overseas like me. Thankfully, I was waiting downstairs at least 2 hours before my "check-in time" at 3:00 p.m., so that I was able to meet, totally by chance, the lady in charge at the entrance. But for this, I would not have been able to get my access code. Imagine how scary it was! "

"The accommodation was more of a B&B with convenient location and nice hosts. We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean and spacious, breakfast in the dining area was nice with some locally sourced ingredients and the hosts were helpful giving us tips what to see, offering us to use the kitchen fridge if we needed it etc. We used the Park and Ride car park in the city which has a free regular bus to the centre and the car park itself is well priced. "This is a residential area. I didnt see any shops or places to eat nearby. However very close to train station. You need to check in with an emailed code. Room was fine and large. A very nice breakfast was included at the sister hotel a few doors down which was really good. Overall recommended but my big tip is dont expect nearby shops or places to eat. Is nice and quiet area. "

"I had a very short stay but was made to feel very welcome by my host. The breakfast in particular was extremely good and it was a shame I was not able to accept the kind gift of some homemade apple juice as I was leaving (traveling hand luggage only)."
