"Situated in the hills about a 5-10 min drive from Horta this property has the most stunning views. In the neighbouring fields you have cows chickens rabbits and birds. The kitchen and living room are modern and open plan with everything you need while the rest of the house is more cottage like. Great shower and hot water. Parking is available across the road. The road to the property is very steep and mostly one way...you get used to it after the initial journey.Communication with Ellen was prompt and helpful especially when our flight was cancelled. Faial is beautiful...we loved it."

Each room had a refrigerator area and cabinet shelf assigned for their use. Guests were respectful and kind and it was great to meet people from other countries in this unique hotel experience. "We were warmly welcomed by Miguel, the owner/manager of the place. We experienced a slight inconvenience with our room at arrival, but Miguel quickly offered us a solution, which was suitable and much appreciated. The view from the terrace was incredible! This is related to the town and not to the lodging, but for dining options, at the time of the year that we went (early June) there were not much choices. But overall, a good experience! :)"
