"This was the perfect spot for us to spend our daughter's UW Madison graduation weekend. It was a little bit of a drive to campus (20 minutes), but we thought it was worth it. "Fished the Madison chain while we stayed here. 20 minutes to the ramp. Plenty of places to eat in neighborhood easy gas stops on easy to ramp. Fitchburg is about 15-20 mins away from Madison. There are many restaurants in Fitchburg, but you probably wanna go to downtown in Madison. If you have a car, it is a great place to stay since it is far from traffic and crowds. Uber is another option
