"This was such a great experience. We loved the character and comfort of the house plus it was a quick walk to everything. Steffan the innkeeper was the best part. He was so welcoming and accommodating, full of information, and a great chef (making us a beautiful breakfast spread). He obviously cares about this place and it shows!! He made it 10/10!"

Amazing sunsets overlooking Lake Michigan!

"The home has beautiful views and access to Lake Michigan. Everything was clean and there is lots of space inside and out. We would definitely stay again! However, I will mention two things I wish I had paid attention to prior to our stay. I will start by saying both things are included in the listing so this is not a complaint, just clarification. First, although the home is on the water and you definitely have quick access down a dune path to the beach, be aware that the part of the beach directly down the path to the water is highly monitored by the neighbors and you are not allowed to sit or hang out there. We mistakenly thought the chairs at the end to the end of the path belonged to the rental property and we were quickly told we could not use the chairs and we had to leave and move to the far far left or to the right where the shore is very rocky. Not a huge problem for us but might be for families with small children who are looking for a beach day close to the property. Second, being from the south, I mistakenly assumed there would be A/C. When we arrived very late in the evening, the house was closed up and after opening all the windows, it took a few hours to cool down. My mistake but worth mentioning. Again, I'm not complaining, just clarifying. We only stayed 2 nights, but I would definitely stay again and longer! "

Bluewater Cottage on Lake Michigan !!

"Traveled as a couple, stayed three nights. A blip with the AC when we arrived during an unusual heat wave, but Bill was very responsive and got someone out quickly. (I don’t know if it was fixed as the temp dropped 30 degrees that night and it was a non issue!) The cottage was lovely and had everything we needed, very thoughtful to leave fire starter logs and the kitchen was very well stocked with dishes and cookware. The common area was very nice, big comfy couch, fireplace, nice tv, etc. The views out all of the front windows of Lake Michigan were beautiful, peaceful and serene! Beds, linens, etc were all very comfortable. Good location near to town, all in all a lovely little up north cottage!"
