"As late as 8:30pm the apartment we booked had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Unmade bed, dirty towels, etc. We contacted the lady who had checked us in, only to be told that it wasn’t her responsibility to have the apartment cleaned but that she would try to find someone to do that. When we called her again a little later first she wouldn’t pick up, then proceeded to yell at us. At this point we just left the apartment and checked into a different hotel. "L'endroit est idéalement situé à environ 30 - 45 minutes du centre historique de Florence et à 20 - 30 minutes des commerces. Calme absolu dans cette charmante petite maison où seule Renate (la propriétaire) vit et s'occupe de vous si besoin. La piscine est très agréable et la terrasse pour déjeuner à l'extérieur est bien abritée du vent et du soleil l'été. Bref, nous aimons beaucoup l'endroit !"

"We had a great stay at villa Lucia, we where met by the owner who showed us around, the property has an abundance of period features and is spotlessly clean and meticulously maintained, it has a lovely pool and terrace with a mature well maintained garden. It made a great base for visits to Florence We drove about 20 mins to the centre of Prato and took a 30 minute train journey into the centre of Florence just €20 return for four of us. I would highly recommend villa Lucia a very genuine...

"It is about 300 m walk to the residence once you get off the bus. It is about a five minute bus ride to Fiesole. Easy to get into Florence downtown with a 30 minute bus ride to Duomo. Nice hot shower! It could use a better bed. Other than that I’d stay again but having a car would be more convenient. Nice restaurant when you get off the bus. "

"Our room was ready a little before the official check-in time which was good but we did avail ourselves of the complementarity water/prosecco/fruit juice bar in reception first! We were given a smart large deluxe twin room facing a courtyard. It was in good condition with a beautiful 'Liberty' style painted ceiling. It was a bit minimalist and the exercise bike was a gimmick. It would have been much better to have had some comfortable seating. The beds were two doubles and were the most comfortable on our short tour around Emilia Romagna. The female receptionists were less friendly than the male ones. Breakfast was in an old small theatre now incorporated into the hotel. Whilst it was not overly lavish, it it was of a very high quality compared to what we had been having in other hotels and a good balance between sweet and savoury offerings. The coffees came from the hotels public cafe and were terrific. The yogurts were of particular note! The breakfast staff were excellent, all very helpful and friendly and they ran a tight ship. The hotel has three restaurants, a cafe, a pizza/pasta restaurant and in the evening a Michelin starred restaurant. There is a lovely bar with terrace over looking a park behind the hotel. We had drinks there one early evening and the staff were excellent. "
