"I traveled with my husband and 4 kids (11-18). The house was clean and everyone had their own bed We had everything we needed during our stay. The location was great to go in several directions for different activities. The D-Day Memorial is a must-see in Bedford. We would stay here again if we come back to the area."

Is the perfect dock for hanging out with friends and family, and the teens love the pool table and their own space downstairs, the adults love the big table upstairs to play cards. Owners have updated the main bathroom and the basement since we stayed there last, which is really nice."

"Downtown is just a few blocks away. The apartment was clean, spacious and mostly quiet. The parking was very conveniently located just back of the property by the entrance to the condo."

"This was a last minute booking. One snafu with Vacasa with them not being able to verify my ID via DL but with a quick phone call that was corrected. The home itself is nice and has plenty of space and amenities. The decibel reader is a little off-putting but I understand with VA laws being the way they are. Overall, it was a nice stay."

"Access for the lake was not good. Would have appreciated steps or, walkway or a railing. My husband is in heart failure an he only got to get in the boat once. Because of the climb. Because we could not use the awning it would have been nice to have an umbrella for the table. The house was beautiful, however it would have been nice to have a TV in each bedroom. There were no dishcloth to wash dishes as the rack in the dishwasher is broken. No trash bags. Hand soap in only the downstairs...

"Nice location to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The view of Peaks of the Otter was beautiful. The owners are friendly and attentive to any needs you might have. The Sanctuary was well appointed and was a great respite."

"Wow, what a hidden gem!! It's a great location with many trees and an awesome place to unwind. The house is super clean and spacious. So easy to hang out in the kitchen that flows right into the family room. The outside 2nd floor large balcony was a great space to end the night. The king beds were so comfortable to get rejuvenated for the next morning. Alex, the host, was awesome to chat with. She was so responsive to any question we had. "Our large family needed a home to house us for one night while we attended a nearby family wedding. This place was perfect for this stay, plenty of room fully stocked kitchen, many bathrooms and many beds. While we did not have time to enjoy all the amenities, it looked like there were some great spots to hang out, fish, fire pit, boat and swim. "This was a trip our family really needed. The house was big and had room for everything we wanted to do. The guys just did not catch the fish they thought they would catch. The decks were great. I host was amazing, she responded quickly when we needed her."

"We only stayed one night but the home served us well. We hiked and bike, so home's proximity to Jackson River Scenic Trail and Lake Moomaw was very convenient. House was a modest ranch style. Kitchen was well stocked. Water smelled of sulfur, but owners said it had been tested and was deemed potable. Setting of home was rural and pretty, ensuring lovely views from the outside deck and gazebo."
