"Despite the record heat, the AC kept the cabin cool and the lake was a great way to cool off outside. Loved the historic but well equipped kitchen. The only comment would be there is no internet or cell service. But for me that is a plus."

"This cabin was all we expected it to be. The owners communicated every time we asked a question. It was clean and well supplied with basics. It fit out group of 8 adults and two young children perfectly. Half a mile from boat ramp and great Northern Pike fishing the whole week. Thanks for a great experience! Would definitely recommend!"

"The bathrooms were updated. The house was very clean. The beds were comfortable. There were a lot of neat decorations. The kitchen was well equipped. The dock was brand new. Had fun using the kayak. We bobber fished off the pier and caught bluegill, sunfish, large mouth, and small mouth bass. No keepers but very enjoyable. We saw eagles 3 times. Also, saw a woodpecker about the size of a raven that was all black with a red head. A hummingbird came up to one of our house guests within 6 feet. This would be a great vacation for adults and families. Very peaceful and relaxing. Would do it again."

"If you are a water bug or avid fisher, you couldn't ask for a better spot! The fishing was wonderful -- we were catching bluegills even off the dock. The lake was gorgeous and the cabin very neat and clean.I did read the reviews ahead of time and knew that "sleeps five" was a bit of a stretch, so I'm glad it was only two of us. While technically you could squeeze two more on the reclining sofa (super comfy to nap on!), it would be a tight squeeze, especially if you needed to stay indoors because of rain.If you're looking for privacy and quiet, this also might not be the right place for you as the cabins are very close together. However, all the neighbors we met were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend bringing a portable fire pit if you want to enjoy more time outside at night. Overall, would definitely stay here again!"
