"Fantastic"

Lakeside Hotel and Conference Centre

"It was a pleasant experience at the Lakeside hotel. The room was spacious and valet with all the amenities at easy reach. There was a rattly mixer at the basin, which the staff were more than happy to attend to, but I told them that they can do so after my stay. Similarly, there were spots on the pillows but the pillows were not smelly or unpleasant to sleep on. Clean crisp sheets and a front room area for wet items. During the stormy season. Beautiful view out of the bedroom with occasional visits from the Kookaburras. The reception staff and housekeeping were warm, receptive and polite. Coffee in the lobby is a wonderful touch. It is a lovely stay within the lush greenery. Will stay at again."

"Checked in as a silver Expedia member, was meant to get a free bottle of wine under the membership - this wasn’t mentioned or offered. Was put in a room on level 2 which shakes and is extremely loud from the train line directly below. Did not get any sleep - the hotel hasn’t been updated since our last stay in 2021 & woke up to a gap in our roof"

"Loved the location (walking distance to the Metro for easy CBD access). Rooms are a good size and so is the bathroom, plenty of room for two people. $38 per day for parking which is reasonable (although the carpark a little tight). We stayed two nights for business and would most definitely stay again."

"Rooms are tired and need a refresh. Bathroom has shower within a bath, difficult to step over onto slippery floor even using a mat. All furniture is soiled and carpet well worn. Water pressure is poor. Other guests smoking on their balconies. Spoke to management weren’t really interested. Parking charged at additional cost. Won’t be staying again."

"The location is amazing - right in the center of Manly just across the street from one of the most beautiful Sydney beaches for wonderful mornings including the fabulous breakfast buffet. Rooftop pool experience amazing. Perfect Manly experience with short walk to Ferry."
