This was an amazing place to stay in Fes. We were happy with all aspects, the room was fantastic, bed was great, double sinks in the bathroom, shower worked really well. Breakfast was great and the people were helpful and very accommodating… Highly recommend.

Dar Victoria is quite easy to navigate to. It is quiet and cool. The room had air-conditioning. The welcome was warm and it was a pleasure to stay here.

Points positifs : Le riad est idéalement situé, en plein cœur de la médina, ce qui permet de visiter facilement les principaux sites touristiques à pied. Le petit-déjeuner, inclus dans le prix, est simple mais tout à fait correct. L’équipe a d’ailleurs été très attentive à mes intolérances alimentaires et a gentiment adapté les repas (merci encore pour les galettes de riz soufflées en remplacement du pain !). Il est aussi possible de dîner sur place, à condition de commander avant midi — une belle option pour profiter d’un repas au calme, comme nous l’avons fait lors de notre dernière soirée à Fès. Le personnel est très aimable, parle peu français mais fait l’effort de se faire comprendre (ils parlent très bien anglais et espagnol). Enfin, le Wi-Fi fonctionne très bien, ce qui est appréciable. Points négatifs : Notre arrivée a été un peu compliquée : nous n’avons pas eu de réponse à notre e-mail envoyé quelques jours avant, et le chauffeur de taxi a eu du mal à joindre l’établissement pour nous aider à trouver l’entrée. De plus, la chambre Coraline, située au premier étage et donnant sur la rue, peut être un peu bruyante le soir. En résumé : Un très bon séjour dans un riad charmant, bien placé et tenu par une équipe attentive. Quelques petits points à améliorer côté communication, mais nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre passage à Fès !

Riad comme base parfaite pour visiter Fès

Riad est facilement accessible, ce que nous voulions. Le chambre grande, et très agréable. Omar et les autres personnes etaient toujours disponibles et discrètes. Une copie des rues de la Medina plus lisible serait une aide bien venue.

A friendly base of operations in Fes

The Riad was well maintained and pleasant. We had an excellent dinner the first night. Mohammed and the rest of the team were extremely helpful in making arrangements for excursions. We would happily recommend Dar Victoria to anyone staying in Fes.

Riad charmant proche du quartier Andalous

Tout était impeccable, un riad magnifique. Nous remercions chaleureusement Ibrahim pour sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse ainsi que les cuisinières qui préparent des petits déjeuners succulents. Petit bémol toutefois pour un léger souci de communication lors de notre arrivée, et qui nous a valu une petite frayeur.

The staff made our stay!

Let me begin by saying the Dar Victoria is a 5 star quality! Mihammed and staff go out of his way to make his guest feel at home. The guide was perfect Idris took his time to walk us thru the Medina with ease. I didn’t worry about getting loss. We ordered dinner every night and the foods plentiful fresh and tasty! Breakfast comes with and had a nice variety everyday. I can’t say enough except I recommend to all and my friends. You will be served well yet feel like family! I will return!! Oh wait be sure to get the Hammam for only 350 dirhams! (Massage and scrub)

Absolutely Beautiful Historic House

The Dar Victoria is absolutely beautiful and a quiet respite from the chaos of the Fes medina. Unfortunately we were the last guests to stay here as the Dar is closing for business. Everything was top notch.

un vrai plaisir

lieu magnifique, datant du XVIIIeme siècle, restauré sans outrance, gardant toute son authenticité. Chambres très propres. Personnel remarquablement stylé: Mohammed, le soir en gandoura blanche et le matin pour servir le petit déjeuner, vêtu de noir...petit déjeuner délicieux avec des pâtisseries et des confitures faites maison et Christine, une hôtesse charmante avec laquelle discuter de Fes et des coutumes locales est un vrai plaisir....nous avons vraiment adoré cette étape.

Merveilleux lieu !!!

Le Riad Dar Victoria est très bien situé : au cœur de la Medina, proche de quelques "grands axes" qui permettent de s'y repérer assez facilement. Durant notre séjour d'une semaine nous avons ainsi pu visiter tous les quartiers anciens de la ville à pied ! Le lieu en lui-même est exceptionnel de beauté puisqu'il s'agit d'une "maison" de plus de 250 ans dont la décoration d'origine a été entièrement conservée et restaurée. Au final on a le sentiment de séjourner dans un véritable mini palais arabe et prendre le petit déjeuner (excellent, comme tout ce que prépare la sympathique cuisinière) dans son vaste patio, décoré de stucs multicolores finement ajourés, est une merveilleuse expérience que l'on ne se lasse pas de renouveler chaque jour...La terrasse, très agréable, permet de profiter de belles vues sur la ville tout en étant au calme. Toutes les chambres sont à l'avenant : décorées avec goût et extrêmement confortables ! Le plus est un accueil parfait : le personnel est charmant et très disponible et Christine, la gérante, se fait un plaisir de vous faire découvrir en détail cette magnifique demeure et de vous donner tous les renseignements nécessaires pour visiter la ville et la région (Meknès, autre ville royale, n'est par exemple qu'à 35 minutes de train de Fès...). En résumé nous avons vraiment passé des vacances idéales, dans un cadre idyllique, convenant aussi bien aux familles avec enfants qu'aux couples d'amoureux comme nous !

ottima soluzione per chi vuele essere al centro della medina

posizionato in ottima posizione per chi vuloe scoprire la medina di fes. gestito da una signora francese molto gentile e ospitale il riad e' confortevole , pulito e spazioso. unico posto dove si mangia bene e si puo' bere vino , assolutamente consigliato
