"The sofitel is right by the North terminal only a short walk from the terminal building. We arrived after midnight due to a late flight but were checked in quite quickly. Room was a pleasant standard hotel room. We did not use any facilities as we had to leave first thing the next day so cannot comment on the rest of the hotel. "

Super convenient if you are on a 12 hours layover… the hop on shuttle was easy and very affordable and it gets you to and from the hotel and airport very easy and it’s only 10 minutes away. Overall a great experience."

"I will and can't wait to return to this property! It was a great base for my family and I for our stay near Gatwick airport. The rooms and beds were very clean and comfy. The staff was great, and even had a nice restaurant and bar. We did partake in breakfast, and it was sooo good - a great buffet style English breakfast, including tomatoes, mushrooms, and blood sausage. Plus there is an all-day cappuccino maker! We also ate well at a nearby pub. "

"i wish i could give 10 stars for hospitality and customer service! the place is quaint, has an older feel, not a hilton, but felt like i was at home! quiet, cool with open windows, great bar! and great staff! if there is an issue they will resolve it! "
