We stayed one night, our room was upgraded at no charge which we really appreciated. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfy. We had dinner in the restaurant with friends The food was fabulous, the staff very attentive and friendly. An excellent stay, we will return and absolutely recommend.

Perfect stay with the perfect amount of space. We have family nearby and this was a perfect location and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast hamper was a great plus! We will be booking again in the future.

Bed was very comfortable, and the staff was extremely helpful. Easy walk to the downtown area with some nice shops.

Beautiful old property that is very well maintained. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Didn’t get to try the food but menu sounded great for breakfast lunch and dinner. Nice bar area with no TVs as a distraction. Would definitely stay here again.

It was just wondering and wish I could spend more time there. Definitely will recommend to my family and friends.

We had a fabulous experience at Channels Lodge. The location in a peaceful country setting, the room with up-to-date facilities and clean, well appointed and lots of electrical connections. The staff so welcoming. From this time on this will be our destination when we visit relatives nearby.

Staff was amazing! I lost my backpack on a local bus, Sally and Kinliegh jumped into action helping me recover my lost luggage. They are truly wonderful people and great people you want working for you! They deserve recognition for all their hard work.

Great facility with great amenities and fair rate per night. Spacious rooms and bathrooms. Close to Marks Tey train station.

We loved the setting, right in the heart of Long Melford within walking distance of notable historic buildings (Melford and Kentwell Halls, the Medieval Church) and local sops, pus and restaurants. The Mil itself is perfect!

Excellent One night stopover whilst visiting for an event in the area , I arrived at 8 pm & ordered a very well kept local Ale , A Sirloin steak which was delicious washed down with an excellent merlot . The annexed accommodation was spacious and very comfortable with luxurious bedding , The ensuite bathroom was very well laid out with a huge shower that was excellent . Breakfast was delicious and was cooked by the charming owner.

The Marquis has just completed renovations, and while there were a few teething problems, the staff was wonderful. They could not have done more to make our stay wonderful. Special shout out to David, Ryann, Lucy, Emma, Kate, Annabelle, Carmin, and everyone else we came in contact with, all were wonderful. The spa and pool were not even mentioned as they just opened, the facility is one of the best we ever visited, again with the staff to match. We are looking forward to our next stay.
