"A beautiful home and scenic location..plenty of seating for family gatherings and getting people together. This is a remote location with super curvy roads...careful! There are cows in one of the far fields and it would have been so cool if they were closer!! There was no internet during our stay...no fault of owner, just a glitch from the provider."

"The Don Q is well-known for the specialty (novelty?) rooms. We stayed there last night because we had tickets to an area event. The lobby includes a huge fireplace with a dozen or so older barber’s chairs. We were pleasantly surprised by the breakfast buffet - it had all the items you would expect - executed just a bit better than average. There are quirky things about the amenities. The layout of our room included an old tub/cheese vat that had not been used in many years. The bathroom sink was around the corner from the toilet/shower area. The refrigerator was plugged into an outlet that would turn off when the light switch was turned off. If you’re staying here, you probably won’t mind some of these quirks."

"This is a good hotel for sleeping. We chose it for vacation and stayed for 2 nights. The room doors are heavy when they shut and can be loud at times but nothing was to terrible. The room was clean and the family running it was really friendly and accommodating. The bed was comfortable and smelled clean. Breakfast was all good. It's a budget friendly place and it was in a perfect location for our trip to the House on the Rock and state parks."

"The recent reviews are accurate. This is a clean, well maintained, charming property. The Host is available but non-intrusive. One thing not mentioned is that it is very quiet (you can hear the birds flying)! Dog friendly. Know that shops and restaurants in New Glarus are mostly closed on Mondays during the off-season. Not necessarily a negative."
