"We first stayed at this hotel in 1986 and gave re-visited several times since. The location is fantastic right in the centre and beside the public car park and lift up to the chateau. The hotel has been renovated and extended over the years and is now even has a roof terrace for chilling out in after a days touring/cycling. The owners have changed over the years and the current owners, Romain & Romain, are wonderful friendly hosts, as are the rest of the hotel staff, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back again. "

"Property is well positioned close the river. Staff friendly and helpful. They welcome dogs, which is what attracted us in first place. Lovely walk along the river. Big car park opposite. Good restaurant with excellent food."

"Very good experience except for the difficulty in gaining access to the hotel late in the evening but the young night porter was exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Good sweet and savoury breakfast"

"We booked the hotel to attend a music concert at the Futurascope Arena. The hotel is clean and tidy with excellent facilities. The bar has tables with games on them which was a unique touch. Check-in was easy, staff where very friendly and efficient. Room was a good size, bed was comfortable. The only downsides were that their were no drink making facilities in the room and the bathroom and toilet area were tired. We would use the hotel again. "

"This was a one night stop over and so we didn’t expect much. Room was OK, breakfast also OK. Lack of how water in the room was a definite issue, we didn’t find out about this until our morning showers by which time it was too late to do anything. "

The attention to detail on the decor of the whole property gives a truly comforting & relaxed feel. The hotel is in a great location within a short 5-10 minute walk in to Chinon centre.
