"We were blown away by the lovely views over the Tuscan hills from the fabulous pool area. The house is beautifully decorated and very well equipped with new and modern appliances. We wanted a few relaxing days in a busy schedule and it was a perfect place. To have lovely Volterra on our doorstep made the location extra special. Not only for the historical and architectural highlights but the restaurants, bars, boutiques and shops. No ensuite and air con for the master bedroom was a shame. ...

"The spacious accommodation on the first floor offered captivating views over the Tuscan countryside to San Gimignano on the horizon.The garden with its spacious swimming pool and outdoor eating area was greatly enjoyed by everyone. San Gimignano itself was a lovely town to explore with great restaurants and cafes. And the meal prepared for us by Barbara was very special."

"The villa is beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. There are horses and ponies on the grounds. The best part is the hostess and the host. They are so accomadating and kind. The pasta we dinner and pizza party were great! "

"We enjoyed a delightful two weeks staying at Villa Il Borrachio in September. Apartment Azalea is spacious, well equipped and set on two floors. The two bedrooms on the first floor have double beds and en-suites whilst the bedroom on the ground floor has two single beds with a bathroom located on the other side of the kitchen/dining area. "We had a great time here as a group of friends with babies. Pool was huge & helped keep us cool! Several areas to eat dinner! Communication was great & we managed to organise a dinner to be cooked for us which was helpful to have a night off cooking! thank you!"

"Roberta was amazing. Villa was spotless and we appreciated all the little touches she provided. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped and the pizza oven was so much fun. Pool was perfect temperature and amazing sunsets with a cocktail finished a perfect evening. Easy to walk or drive to town. "

"The views were beyond compare! Proximity to Castellina in Chianti was wonderful and the management team were responsive to a few issues. My main comment would be, especially considering the rental cost, that the furniture and kitchen supplies (dishes etc) needs upgrading and the quality of the beds/linens should be improved. Overall however, it was a lovely stay! Grazie."
