Weekend Getaway Cabin

Escape the busy city to peace and quiet! Visit High Bridge Lodge and Cabins located in Farmville, VA. Our cabins are nestled away in a beautiful, private wooded area, and offer easy access to the High Bridge Trail State Park.

Visit Downtown Farmville for a variety of shops and restaurants that are only a short distance from the cabins.


The space
The Weekend Getaway Cabin features one bedroom and one full bathroom, as well as a full size sleeper sofa. Central heating and cooling. Fully equipped kitchen. Great Room with wood burning fireplace, wifi, flat screen TV and DVD player. Outdoor fire ring with plenty of seating. Large front porch and back deck to sip your morning coffee or relax to the sounds of nature. Electric grill on back porch. We also now have a hot tub on the back porch. Linens and towels are provided. Bring your own personal items (shampoo, toothpaste etc..)We supply a reasonable amount of trash bags, paper towels, toilet tissue, dish and hand soap. Guests may bring additional supplies if they wish.

We have 27 private wooded acres with access to High Bridge Trail State Park. Great for biking, hiking or horse riding.

Other things to note
AWD/4WD is recommended in the winter months for inclement weather.

Cute cabin
We loved this location for a fishing trip. Lots to do nearby and many conveniences. Cabin was the perfect size for 2 people, but when we added our 21 year old, it was tight, especially for sleeping. The main bed creaked A LOT, and the pull out couch needs some attention. We were happy there was an air mattress that we could use. The owner was very responsive and we appreciated the later check out when we asked. Cabin is well taken care of 😊

35th Anniversary
We celebrated our 35th anniversary here. We were looking for a spot to get off “the grid” and relax. We found it at The Weekend Cabin. Also found Farmville to be enjoyable and the High Bridge Trail to be extremely relaxing. This place nailed it for what we were looking for. Thanks for a great weekend.

Property is immaculate. Spotless! Everything was in working order & the ease of check in and communication from property manager was 5 star ⭐ Within 5 minutes of town but seems a million miles away surrounded by woods and access to trail. This was our second stay.. thank you for making our 5 year anniversary special! Will return for another stay!

We had a wonderful time at the log cabin in Farmville. The cabin was cozy, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities we needed. The outside porches were perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the nearby Highbridge Trail. The host were very helpful and answered any questions quickly. The location was secluded and peaceful, but not too far from the town and shops. We enjoyed the fresh air, the stunning views, and the relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect escape from the city life. I would highly recommend this log cabin to anyone looking for a memorable weekend getaway.

It was everything we hoped it would be. Secluded and charming, yet close to historic downtown, this cabin was well stocked and well decorated. A treasure nestled into the woods. We are already planning our return visit!

Such a great cabin! Cozy, clean, all the amenities, great hot tub!
This place is fantastic! Very clean, love the hot tub, the porches, the fire place, the outdoor fireplace. It’s very private, and the trail leading to the High Bridge Trail is right next to the cabin. We rode our bikes to a brewery and it was a gorgeous ride! Can’t say enough about how great this place is!

My sister and her new husband fell in love with this place! It was very close to the venue, the Barn at Timbercreek. The cabin was incredibly clean and provided an intimate sense of privacy and peace to the couple to cap a very blessed, overwhelming and stressful day. They plan to revisit for their anniversary. My husband & I rented the weekend get away cabin for a 3 night Valentine's day get away. Our first trip without the kids in 4 years. We highly recommend this property & am so blessed to have found this hidden gem so close to home yet felt states away! Property manager had great communication, no hassle check in & out, cabin is secluded yet close to town, cabin was spotless, hot tub was a great bonus. We will definitely rent this gem again in the future!

This place is great! Super cute and relaxing. The hot tub is a nice place to unwind. The pictures don’t do this place justice. Worth a visit if you enjoy a cabin seclusion feeling but 4 minutes to Greenfront. Will be back for sure!
