Oxford Belfry Hotel & Spa

"I stayed at the Oxford Belfry for two nights. I felt immediately that the rating was too high for this property overall. Check in was smooth and staff are friendly and helpful. The room was a generous size, ours looked out over the garden, which were bushes, but still pleasant - some room overlooked the car park. Breakfast was a self service buffet. It was plentiful and varied. The bar experience was problematic. I ordered a non alcohol mojito and when I got it, it was missing several ingredients. The meal special, which came with a glass of wine, arrived without wine. The staff are young, maybe less experienced, but the manager arrived and set everything straight. I would recommend the handmade pizzas, even at nearly £20 for a pizza fit for one. The pool and spa were acceptable but not exceptional. The ice machine didn’t work, the shower by the sauna was a bit broken. Some of the pool tiles were missing too. The spa is featured in the hotel name and expected more!"

"Breakfast was good and the staff really helpful. The spa was an extra cost and for £10 you didn't get use of the pool for your stay - you got a one hour slot ! Location and setting were great."

"We used this hotel while we visited diddly squat farm and day in the Cotswold. This was perfect for my husband and I Unfortunately we never got a chance to eat a meal other than breakfast that was delicious. We did stopped for a few drinks in the pub throughly enjoyed our stay Definitely would book here again"
